We didn't have some fabulous engagement story... we knew what we were doing... just a matter of exactly when so I don't really know. There wasn't much of a proposal... just more talk that turned into a plan... a date... and in a few more mos... a wedding.

and i'm still wait, but from other posts i've read on here a lot of guys become more affectionate, so it's definately a good sign!
I know, I feel like I am pacing just to get through and hour at a time. We don't plan to go "out" until 7pm tomorrow. do you know how long it is intil 7pm? That is practically a year or two!
I even went out to get my nails done. You know, just in case poeple suddenly want to look at my left more than normal.
So naturally if I go to bed tomorrow night still a MISS. instead of a MRS. Nobody is gonna be happy for a while. Actually I have plans for a trip out of town from thursday morning until saturday night.
Well I am going to go pace a little more to pass the eternity.
That is really exciting!! I hope he does it tomorrow night!! If not im sure it will be a great birthday anyways :) Teddy did get really affectionate the week that he proposed (last week!) but we did not have any issues in the bedroom. He was not too stressed about getting engaged...as I dont think he realized all the planning that would start the day after! haha

Glad to hear he was affectioinate thought. The boyfriend just keeps saying he is super stressed and when I ask why he clams up and just says stuff. Well, I hope stuff code for really lovely ring. lol
He might just be trying to throw you off. Don't get too excited since you might just be disappointed because he could do it on another day.
Sounds like you are going to have a fantastic birthday! Try not to focus on getting a proposal just in case it doesnt happen, that way you wont be bummed out on your bday. Today is my and BFs 5 year anniversary and I just focused on having a good time with the man I love and I feel fine, unlike my bday back in November when I turned into a major sourpuss b/c I knew I wasnt getting a ring haha!

I actually sat and watched the clock tick. I am terrible. I have to get out of the house of find someway of distracting myself until 7.
By the way, the boyfriend told me he was coming home after class and that we would drive back into the city together instead of me just meeting him downtown tonight. That never happens. Also, this morning he was beyond affectionate but also sort of funny. I haven't gotten a call or a text all day, I usually get several. I wonder what that boy is up to?

awwww!! my FI didn't act different at all (but I had a SLIGHT idea that it might happen!) although the ring was in his pocket the whole time he walked on the other side so I wouldn't notice! Good Luck and I hope you get engaged :)

Everyone on here has been so kind in helping me reamin calm in the face of tomorrows big suprise.
The boyfrined just called me and said he had just picked up my last birhtday gift (which is Sunday). He said it was the most important one and that I am going to love it. He went on for a bit about how much effort he has put into tomorrow night and my birthday. But won't tell me anything after that.
He made a comment yesterday asking "well, have I fulfilled all my husbandly obligations?" Which is really his boyfriend obligations of making me coffee in the morning and letting my have the first shower. I said "yes you fullfilled them" secrelty screaming in my head "is this a slip????"
ALso a question for you ladies that are engaged or married. He is becomeing increasingly affectionate. actually wanting to be held. But we haven't had sex in three days because he is so stressed out (highly uncommon for us). Is this normal, did your fella have issues such as this with the stress of an engagement wearing on him?
