WOW, wow wow... I don't even know how to feel right now. 

My SO applied to get into a specific trade union in February. This was the 3rd year he applied. He got a "no thank you" letter in May. The union would have been a lifelong career with great pay and great benefits. He's really stuck in his job right now making next to nothing and not going anywhere.

Then... out of the blue, the director of the union apprenticeship called 20 minutes ago and asked when he could start. WHAT! This is so random and unexpected. He has been digging trenches in the 110-115 degree weather for the past 3 days at his job. He has worked so hard and deserves this so much. I am so happy and proud of him! It's about time he's caught a break and this is the best we could've asked for. I am still in shock!!!! 

(And... this means a proposal is coming SOON, I know it. The #1 reason it hadn't happened was b/c of his job)

AND to top this all off? I am 99% sure I am getting a new job in the next few weeks too! With a decent pay raise. They just have to finalize the offer!! OHHH ladies, I have never been this happy in my life. Honestly.

I AM ON CLOUD 9!

YEA!!! Good for him...and you too!! Hopefully this means a proposal is coming soon!!

Thank you everyone! I still can't believe this is real. We have been in such a rut of a mindset lately... feeling like... everyone else gets breaks and good things happen to them, why are we so stuck and when is it our turn? Well, it's finally our turn ;)

Yesterday I posted on FB just saying to myself, think positive & good things will happen...  "The next several weeks will be some of the best. We deserve this." And look what happened! AH! I am a fortune teller, I knew it!

@burris4: hehehehe :) I am sad but not surprised about this year.... NEXT YEAR!!! ;) Go Cubs!

@piglover: You are a union wife?? YAY! I am really looking forward to this. It means I will probably be able to work part time when we are ready to have children which means the world to me! What a blessing. Do you work full time?

I got the official job offer today at about 6pm! WAHOO! SO put in his 2 weeks notice today and I will do the same on Monday... and we work for the same very small company (that's how we met). Oh well... gotta look out for #1, we're off to bigger & better things :) :)

positive changes are amazing.  any change happens for a reason.  What a great way to start your life together:)  I feel the joy coming through my computer right now (okay that sounded sarcastic but I am serious) 

@Ronneykay: awww thank you! :) you are so right, my mom kept telling me... good things will happen when the time is right. I just can't believe how it is all coming together like this. I never would have imagined. OH THE JOY! That comment is way too cute :) I AM SENDING ALL THE BEES AMAZING AMOUNTS OF HAPPINESS TONIGHT!! :P

Our last days here at our current jobs are both on the same day, next Friday. He starts work on Monday and I will take 2 days off (hehehe) and start on Wednesday. Can't wait!!!
