@klachance18: :( It's not meant to do that. I'm just trying to figure out what I am forgetting. Like I said, 8 things occurred to me this morning, which freaks me out that I am probably forgetting even more. Maybe if we share our lists, we can get ideas from one another and have a few "a ha!" moments.

I think what makes me nervous about yours is that your very organized and I'm not lol so I'm probably forgetting TONS! But I will give it a try....

This Week

Mail my bridesmaids that live out of town their dresses so they can be altered.
Go by and pay stylist for my girls hair (I want to have it out of the way!)
Marriage license (Friday!)
Wedding shower, September 17th.

SOON!

Count up the RSVP's my date to have them to me by is the 17th so I will start harassing ppl afterwards. (I don't get why ppl can't just send it back if they are coming!)
Decide on ceremony music.
Purchase the candles for my Unity candles.
Purchase my bridesmaid gifts.
Purchase my veil.
Programs once I decide on the ceremony music!
Pay off honeymoon.
Hair trial once I find out when my dress will be done for alterations so that I can take bridal portraits the same day...(Do most ppl do that? That's what my stylist said...)
Contact my cake lady just to make sure everything is still fine. I have paid her off but just make sure.
Thank you notes from the showers--next week!
Venue Payment.
Decide on nail salon and make reservations.

I'm sure that there is soooooo much more!

Ahhhh....reading this makes my head hurt a bit ;)

This week:

1. Order bridesmaid gifts - LandsEnd bags

2. Order Junior bridesmaid and Flower girl gifts??

3. Makeup and hair trial

4. Super late engagement photos

5. Decide on gifts for the parents

6. Find/Order Marriage Bell

7. Finish ceremony pomanders

8. Order rings - holy crap that's LATE!

9. Boudoir photos - hubba hubba!

10. Finalize programs design

Next Week:

1. Create small centerpeices for cocktail tables

2. Rehearse first dance - ballroom lessons!

3. Put together play-list and do-not-playlist for DJ (No Chicken Dance, please!)

4. Stuff to throw for the send off...bubbles? meh :/

5. Create a day-of schedule and recruit my sister to execute as DOC....thanks sis :)

6. Print programs and assemble...wait does that mean I need a program basket??

7. ....Find program basket!

Suppress cranial explosion and full onset of the bridal crazies....that's an on-going to-do

@FallBride100811: I love the idea of doing bridals, but that just wasn't happening with our budget or our schedule. That said, 2 of my besties also got married this year, so the 3 of us are doing a Rock the Dress session together. Hopefully that will give me some really good photos of me in my dress.

@FallBride100811: It's an Irish tradition. The way that people incorporate it into the wedding ceremony varies, but its primary purpose is at home once the wedding is over. When the couple has a disagreement/quarrel, one member of the union can ring the wedding bell to declare a truce without admitting fault. Bells play a big role in our ceremony, and Mr. LK is very proud of his Irish heritage, so it works perfectly for us.

You are far more organized than me! I'm taking it week by week.

What I've done this week so far:

Had final meeting with Officiant.

Booked our hotel room for the wedding night.

Made reservations for Sunday brunch.

Finished table names.

Made half of centerpieces.

Washed 30 mason jars.

I still need to do before the week ends:

Drop off final cake payment and cake topper. (Today)

Cut branches for centerpieces. (Saturday)

Clean more mason jars and put candles in mason jars. (Today)

Start making boutonierres. (Saturday)

Final walk-through at venue with Caterer. (Sunday)

Buy a bulletin board, spray paint, and cute thumb tacks. (Today/Friday)

Take linens out of packaging and steam the wrinkles out. (Saturday)

Make list of people who we still need RSVPS from. (Friday)

Next week (so far):

Get wedding ring resized smaller. (Thursday)

Final dress fitting and pay alterations balance. (Thursday)

Final payment due to Caterer.

Make favor tags.

Cut ribbon for favors.

Buy 2 pumpkins

Buy 5 frames for memorial table.

Finish with RSVPS and start figuring out seating.

Lordy.

THIS WEEK

Get Mr. LD's tux/suit situation sorted out

Finalize photography dates, times, and locations with photogs

Drop off ribbon for cake at cake shop

Book hotel room for wedding night

Finalize thank-you card design and save in online cart until have wedding pics back and can complete order

Have MOB and FMIL follow up on outstanding RSVPs and send messages about venue change to those attending

NEXT WEEK (OFF WORK)

Finish crafting rehearsal dinner décor – decorate votive holders and drop off at FMIL-and-FFIL's house to assemble with flameless votives

Make “pack list” for honeymoon; get whatever misc. items are needed (TSA-approved 3 oz. toiletry bottles, neck pillows, etc.)

Finish crafting venue décor – flowers and vases, framed signs, pomanders

Drop off cake topper at cake shop

Make/do favors and attach “thank you” tags

Break in heels and shine/polish flats for reception

Find a ring holder for my wedding band and Mr. LD’s ring for officiant to hold during ceremony – that small purple-ish gauze one in present supplies? Macy’s blue box?

Create and finalize playlists, for:

Get house completely and totally clean – have done by Wed., 9/28

Get inserts for heels

Sort food: Clean out fridge and throw out everything that will expire while on honeymoon; put all bread products in freezer, eat all fruit and veggies before Friday

Clean out car completely

Vacuum/wipe out car

Take car to carwash??

Set mail to hold, starting on Saturday 10/1, and resuming on Monday, 10/10

(Thursday or Friday) – Wax bikini line

Pack for honeymoon except for Saturday outfits and toiletries essentials for the weekend

Create and finalize playlists, for:
- Pre-ceremony/seating
- Groom/Officiant processional
- Bridal processional
- Ceremony
- Bride/Groom recessional
- Toasting placement
