I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now and today I finally got up the guts to go, (3 months before the wedding).
The procedure was almost pain free. The only part that actually hurt was the anesthesia before hand, (the same injections you get at the dentist). The restylane injections themselves were painless and took about 10 minutes. The doctor made a bunch of tiny injections along the lines and fold near my nose and mouth and them massaged everything so its even.
The results were immediate and I LOVE them. All those tiny little lines around the mouth and nose are gone! Even when I smile, all those little lines and folds are totally gone. My face looks so much more youthful and refreshed without it being obvious, (I’m 27 by the way).
If anyone is thinking about doing this, I highly recommend it. I’m definitely going to be keeping this up once the results wear off.

@Meowkers: Glad to hear you’re happy with the results! I was wondering if it’s expensive to get Restylane injections?

@CaptainSpaulding: I believe that the price somewhat depends on who you have inject them. I had a board certified cosmetic dermatologist do it. But I believe a nurse practitioner can do it as well and it’s cheaper. For three syringes I paid $1050 and then the restylane company ran a rebate offer for $50 off each syringe. So in the end it came to $900 for 3 syringes.
@Melini: i’m still a little swollen but once the swelling completely goes away i’ll post some pictures. 🙂

I’ve been thinking about getting injections -probably botox because I have this really bad habbit of furrowing my brow -most of the time.
I’ve actually been stopped by elderly people in shopping malls telling me to smile -life is beautiful. But the thing is I’m probably not at all upset.
I don’t have lines there (YET), but we know they’re coming. So perhaps a wee little botox would eliminate this.

Can’t wait to see some pictures!! And I’m glad you feel great about it.

@Meowkers: That’s about what I thought- really looking forward to your pics!
@kermie: The people telling you to smile thing- happens to me ALL. THE. TIME. I actually find it really annoying when random men do this to flirt- I actually make an effort to look more miserable usually.

Yay! Im glad it worked out for you! Is it normal around this age to need a little “refreshing”? I’m 25 and I’m starting to notice some fine lines. =/ I have got to stop sleeping on my face! Lol Oh BTW I get the random “Hey! smile!!!” from people too. I’m not mad, I’m thinking! Lol
