For all of my almost dresses the one thing I wanted to get rid of was sweetheart. I don’t know why I don’t like them. I’ve never been a big clevage girl so that might be why, I don’t like showing off at the beach let alone on my wedding da.
Did anyone else feel this way?
What did you end up getting?
I ended up with a dip.

LOVE your dress! I had a dip, also!

My dress has a scoop neckline.

the ‘dip’ I think is called a modified sweetheart. That’s what mine is too!

I believe mine was a modified sweetheart with the “dip”.

What would you call this? A dip?

@LDay1983: there is a difference between the two
Dip is wider and not so deep “barley there if you will”
Modified plunges more but is not a complete sweetheart it is wider then a sweetheart but deeper and thinner then a dip

I’m not sure exactly what neckline my dress was. It wasn’t completely straight across but it did have a subtle dip in the middle, so maybe dip?

@Cummins59: I would think just a tube top haha.. if that applies to formal gowns.?

@alishaloo: I did a dip as well! I like sweethearts on other brides, but it wasn’t what I was interested in for me- loved my dip!

Mine was a dip and found it the most flattering neckline style for me

I also don’t know what to call my neckline! I don’t have a picture of me in the dress yet, and I remembered it looking a bit deeper on me, but I guess it’s somewhere between a modest sweetheart and a v-neck? It doesn’t show very well in the stock photo, but the bodice ends at the bust and the straps are transparent/illusion lace. You can see it much better in my dress, which is gold with ivory lace instead of white on white. Any thoughts?
