This weekend SO and I spent a considerable amount of time together. It began Friday, with a random question:
“Would it be tacky for a person to propose at another person’s wedding in front of all their family and friends?”
“Yes, it would.” And I left it at that… seeing as the SO is BM at FBIL’s wedding this upcoming spring.
SO admitted a few weeks ago he informed his mother of his intentions with me, so I was curious to see how she interacted after that since I haven’t seen her during that time. We went out this weekend with her, and on our way to pick apples she stopped at the place SO’s father proposed to her and told us the story. It was a little awkward, but I smiled and nodded. FMIL and FFIL are no longer together, so it was curious that she decided to take a trip down memory lane. SO said he hadn’t even heard the story.
And I didn’t mention anything about engagement, weddings, or asked him to elaborate on the comments he made here and there. 🙂

Great job! I’m finding right now that he’s the one bringing it up more and more recently. He came over last night and was all snuggly and clingy and I asked him “What in the WORLD is wrong with you?” cause he’s normally pretty snuggly to begin with. He said, “Just… going to that wedding on Saturday. I really want to be married to you!”… which was super cute, and yet he can’t take the hint that I won’t talk to my dad about budgets and vendors and what not until he’s proposed, which means he has to talk to my dad first!
