- Wedding: March 2010
We set off for Islamorada Friday Morning after loading up two cars AND an SUV. It’s about a three hour drive from where we are in S. Florida. We got there around mid afternoon, stopped at Publix to pick up extra drinks for the bar, and food for my bridal party to eat while getting ready. We dropped off all our stuff at our Venue Coconut Cove and Resort, then my Fiance and I left for our hotel (we wanted some extra privacy) The Cheeca Lodge and Resort. After some freshening up we headed back to Coconut Cove for our Rehearsal.
We weren’t sure the rehearsal was going to happen at all. We were missing our pastor who’s flight was cancelled and wouldn’t be flying in till the day of the wedding, a groomsman who was so sick he was passing out, and a bridesmaid stuck in traffic from Tampa. I knew there was no way I could NOT rehearse and still be calm the next day, so we got some stand ins.
At first everyone just hung around waiting to get started
It was a good time for some pictures
I gave our planner some last minute instructions
and he got us all started. Everyone seemed to listen.
He got us all lined up in order
Our stand-in pastor
And then everyone practiced walking ‘romantically’
Paul made sure everyone knew where to stand before my dad brought me down
some instructions for our littlest attendant
Then we got started on the ceremony
We practiced walking out, although the Mr. didn’t remember how the next day
I tried to bite The his face off
We practiced walking back out
The Mr. and I chatted over some last minute details with our planner
A good friend got some detail shots:
We took a few family photos
My maid of honor sister and I
the women of our family.
and we were off to our rehearsal dinner!
