I am two weeks late, but have had 3 negative HPT (one 4 days before missed AF, one a week after missed, and one just yesterday). We weren’t careful with protection at least once during what was aparantly the window during which I should have ovulated ( we aren’t TTC, but I consulted a few ovulation calendars to check my math when I was late).
Before I missed, I had none of my typical PMS symptoms, which prompted me to test the first time. Usually, I have sore boobs and off and on cramps for exactly three days before AF. The only things I was experiencing was excessive gas, a headache, extreme fatigue–sleeping 10+ hrs per night, and some dang vivid dreams (one about having a baby–it was so vivid I can still remember feeling my heart do flip flops the first time I saw my little girl in the dream).
A week after AF never showed, I took a second test which was again negative. It was a FRER. So I just figured that I had ovulated late and didn’t think a thing of it, until now. I started feeling nauseous on Monday anytime I had anything with sugar, accompanied by severely sore, heavy boobs (this started last weekend and has alleviated a little). Another week has passed, and I took another test yesterday. Still negative. My abdomen is also feeling a little tender to touch. It doesn’t hurt, it just feels weirdly sensitive to touch. Another headache tonight. Don’t normally have two so close together.
I don’t know what to think…maybe I am just insane. I wish my insurance wasn’t so messed up right now or I’d go get a blood test to settle it once and for all. I’ve read about people having negative HPT after a late period only to get a positive blood test. Or in my mom’s case, get a positive HPT only after the second missed period.
Anyone share a similar experience?
