Depending on your budget I would go into a store like White House Black Market, Norstroms or any other store that has helpful sales associates (even probably a place like Express could help you) and tell them what you just typed here. Let them pick some clothes out for you to try on so you can decide what you like and looks good on you.

You will need to try things on to determine what fits your shape.

I’d err on the side of semi-formal to formal. I’ve never been to a country club function that was not either of those. I live in a podunk city in a podunk state for reference.

@jesssamesssa:  better to be over dressed than under dressed. I would wear a cocktail dress of some sort, and DH in a suit and tie.

Check out Ross! They usually have cute sweater dresses, that’s where I found most of mine! It’s getting cold at night around here, so I’d definitely wear tights/leggings.

Maybe something like these?

@jesssamesssa:  You could wear a potato sack and still look smoking hot. You are just too pretty. However, I’ll play since you asked. Based on your description and not what I actually imagine country club attire to be, I’d wear a dress like this with a cute jacket, leggings, and boots (it is fall afterall):
