I’ve asked for several opinions from my family and friends, and I’m still stuck.
What type veil do you think would go with this dress? The back has a LOT of detail, and the veils that fall in that area tend to create a line, so I was thinking of a cathedral length?
What do y’all think?
Thank you so much!!!

I have the same problem. My dress has great detail in the back and most veils looked strange with the back. I suggest that you choose a cathedral length veil or an above the shoulder veil.
I chose an above the shoulder veil. Here’s the linkt to the veil I bought (love it!): http://www.etsy.com/listing/41701571/double-blusher-wedding-veil-on-comb

I definitely think a cathedral length veil would look beautiful with that dress. An elbow length or fingertip would cut off the detailing, like you mentioned. Another option, if you think you could rock it with your gown, would be a birdcage veil. Something maybe like this.
But that’s a pretty big difference from a cathedral veil, and I think if that is what you like, that’s what you should go with! 🙂

Thank you both very much. The problem with shoulder or bird cage veils is that I have waist length hair and it’s too thick to wear up apparently (according to three different hair stylist – at least without being huge or just a bun) and those veils look funny with my hair down. But they’re so pretty on everyone, I’m very jealous.
Thank you ladies

I have the same issue and went with a short veil above the elbow length.

Actually the back of my dress is really similar and I did go with a cathedral veil. It’s pretty because it allows you to still feel like you are wearing a formal veil, but is sheer over the detail of your dress. I personally just liked the softer effect it gave. I tried on some short veils and felt they were pretty, but not “elegant” enough in the formal sense. Hvaing a longer veils also lends itself to giving you some pretty detail and sparkle around your head and shoulders from the front- so the whole show isnt in the back.

@aliv and amanda shorter veils won’t work because I have to wear my hair down and I don’t want my hair to be longer than the veil (looks weird, trust me). Thank you for your opinions though!
@Stormala, thank you so much for that response. That’s really what I was thinking too!
