- Wedding: December 2012
Ok so here’s the thing, when I first got engaged a year ago I asked a friend (that I wasnt very close to) to become my Maid/Matron of Honor, but then Fiance and I changed our minds and agreed not to have a bridal party so I let my friend know and she was fine with it, no complaints or anything. Since then I’ve spoken even less to this friend of mine (like only when I go eat at the restaurant she works at) and now Fiance has told his brother to be his best man again and his niece to be our flower girl but I dont know who to pick as my Maid/Matron of Honor. I dont want to tell this friend since we dont talk much, we never really did, and I have another friend in mind who was my best friend back in HS, and although we havent talked much since she had her baby back in December, I see her as my closest friend. Should I ask her to be my MOH? I dont know if she would even say yes. We’ve already picked the venue, I’ve already picked my dress, so there is less things that she would need to worry about. My mother wants me to ask a cousin of mine from Mexico that I only talk to when she comes over like twice a year, I’m not very comfortable with that, besides I dont want my cousin to take it as me trying to get into her bridal party since shes getting married too and that is not my plan at all. Ahh I’m going crazy here! I do have other friends, but I’m not close with anyone! So should I ask the first girl I asked last year when I first got engaged to be my Maid/Matron of Honor, or my other friend who was my Boyfriend or Best Friend back in HS and I talk a little more too?
*The reason I didnt ask the girl who was my Boyfriend or Best Friend to become my Maid/Matron of Honor when I first got engaged was because at that point I was talking more to the other girl, but as you can tell things have changed. Honest opinions please!
