amyem1:  The bunching/bubbling should be fixable by a good seamstress.

I love the bog bow on the back and the illusion neck, very classy. It suits your shape so well.

Once the waist is sorted, it’ll be stunning!

I think it looks lovely, execpt for the waistline. I think it can ne corrected. Apart from that it looks stylish and elegant. I don’t understand why you didn’t like the dress.

I think it is lovely.  You have a very nice figure in it.  Have you tried on anything that you loved?  Do you think this dress is saveable?

I dont think you need to sell it, but if you did, would you have a good chance of tgetting your money back and getting another?  When is the wedding?

I don’t love it either (sorry!) I think the problem is the cut…It’s too flat  across the hips and tummy . The neckline and bodice look great to me. Seems to fit well and the back all seems good.  If all your efforts to salvage it have failed then I think it’s time to cut your losees and move on.

I think it’s very hard to get that style of dress to fit perfectly around the hips and tummy. I often see bunching or bubbling around the waist on dresses like this. I think it looks lovely on you, but I agree that it’s not 100% perfect. If you really don’t like it, I agree with the above poster–cut your losses and try a different style.

stillme:

Try to sell it if you really don’t love it. You may not get all your money back but get what you can to get a new dress. This is the most important garment you will wear so it needs to be everything you love and feel beautiful in. My next suggestion would be do not buy online again go to a bridals store so you know what you are getting and it will be a higher quality item. If you don’t have time to order look for sample sales or a store that will let you buy floor models. I can also recommend a designer we carry in the store I work at that is affordable and does quick delivery 1-2 months. I will also recommend some affordable legimitate designers that should be easy to find aorund you.

Da Vinci Bridal (the quick delivery designer)

Mori Lee ‘Voyage’ Collection (Affordable collection $450-$800)

Mary’s Bridal ‘Moda Bella’ and ‘Informal’ Collections

Also try preownedweddingdresses for selling your dress

Is it an option for you to get a new one?  Loving your dress and being excited about it is a fun part of your wedding! If you dont LOVE LOVE LOVE it, I would just get another so you dont have to stress about it.

I’m sorry, but I think it is really lovely. I agree with PPs that maybe just a few more alterations and you might find the fit to be better? Would that be better than giving up budget wise or are you okay with buying a new dress?

Beautiful!  Spanx shorts or even panty hose cut off above the knee is your answer.  My dress was the same shape and did that too before I had my spanx on.  It was wearing “seamless” underwear before but the dress got caught on them and created those lines.  It could also potentially be too tight on your waist causing those lines.  Also- the straps look off to me.  The strap on your left shoulder is more off the shoulder than the strap on your right.  I think it might also fit better if you deepen the sweetheart a bit.

amyem1:  the same thing is happening to me. I bought my dress online and I don’t really like it anymore. But your dress looks beautiful! It fits your figure really good
