I hear other women saying all the time that they hate wearing a bra and can’t wait to go home and take it off. Most of my friends feel that way too. Am I weird for loving them? Ok ”love” is a strong word and I don’t want to go to sleep wearing a bra , but I like wearing one more than other gals seem to do so. Especially during winter and especially while wearing a dress. It probably helps that I am a teacher and I can not even subconsciously imagine that I would not wear one for most of the day.
Am I part of a weird minority?

Yeah, I am super uncomfortable when I don’t wear one. I even sleep in a sports bra….and they’re not that big (I’m borderline C/D).

I absolutely hate NOT wearing a bra. They’re big! They bob and sway and that ticks me off. The only time it’s off is to shower/sleep/have sex. I like my bra!

I don’t hate them MOST of the time, if it’s a comfortable one. But I do take it off when I get home, and right now being pregnant I absolutely DESPISE bra’s.

I like wearing bras, but not all the time. I like to take them off.

It depends…Sometimes I forget I am even wearing a bra and other times I am dying to rip it off!

Oh, don’t get me started on bras. We have a love/hate relationship, with much more love than hate, as I’ve struggled throughout the years to find my “right size.” Even though I have to buy my bras online from overseas to get the size I need (30 band size, large cup), I’m so much more comfortable and supported. I highly encourage people to double-check their fit if they have pain. Bras should not be painful. The internet has exploded in the past few years with blogs about bra fit and new companies making bras in a wider range of sizes, which is fantastic to see!
I agree, I hate not having my bra on, and usually wear one to sleep. I hate being floppy, agh!

Hate ’em. As soon as I get home, I take them off. I’m a large C so I’m not really big-boobed, but I find all bras uncomfortable.

It’s the underwire that’s the annoying thing. I’ve had some without, and they were more comfortable, but don’t look as nice under a shirt. In the winter, if I don’t have any skin irritation, a bra without a wire is reasonably comfortable. In the summer they are too hot, and the straps always seem to find a patch of eczema/psoriasis/infected skin.

I used to sleep in bras, but now I sleep naked.
For me, it just depends on the day and the bra. I’m a large C and they’re still pretty perky on their own, so I think that affects it.
But I don’t think you’re particularly weird. The thing I don’t really understand is bras with zero padding. In high school I had some female teachers who wore that type and I did not enjoy being able to tell when they were cold… To me that’s half the point of wearing a bra.

I’ve never really felt bothered by a bra. I find them comfortable! I never leave the house without one. I have a funny shape if I go bra-less. I’m small, so I don’t really need them for any sort of support – it just looks nice.
I do take off my bra as soon as I get home, but that’s because I’m super classy and change into sweats and a ratty tshirt when I am staying in! Otherwise I never mind a bra.

I don’t mind bras at all. Or wearing pantyhose.

I always wear my bra. I’m a tight D and my boobs are simply too heavy and uncomfortable to without support.

MsJ2theZ: You know, I had the same issue when I was pregnant, then I just started wearing these super comfortable pima cotton nursing bras. You might look into it. 🙂

I love bras! I am nearly always wearing one, even while sleeping, with an underwire. I’m 34E and I HATE the sensation of my boobs touching the skin on my ribcage or often, even the other boob (unless I’m wearing a cleavagey outfit). i wouldn’t be caught dead without a great bra on.
