CHANGE! If you feel you dont like your photog, dont do the same mistake as I did.
Even if it means to loose the deposit.
Best of luck (Im in Canada so I dont know any one in your area)
Do you still need help finding a photographer? Here are several I recommend:
Lisa Hessel
Jodi Schlosser
Clary Pfeiffer

I hear ya - I hired a photographer way in advance and then just a few months before the wedding started having second thoughts. I switched to Turner Creative - she's based out of Springfield, Mo but travels for a very reasonable price. I lost money in the deal because I couldn't get my original deposit back and I don't even care! Having a photographer that you are comfortable with, that shoots the style you want, etc is priceless!! Go with your gut...
Here's a link to a few blog posts Erica did right after our wedding:
You can always ask though. If her style and perspective of photos has change significantly .. just ask her what made the change. Perhaps she is trying something new and you can request the old style. Perhaps the bride wanted an expensive package so the photog used a different camera.
How much will you lose for a deposit?
Hey! I am a bride-to-be as well AND a wedding photographer. I did 20+ weddings when I lived in Oklahoma City and recently started working with a photographer here. Come in the studio, I'll personally show you what we do...if PJ is what you want, if you like what you see then lets talk! if our studio isn't a good fit for you, then maybe I can help you find someone within your style and price range that is!! As for your deposit you have with the other gal, ask her if you can use it as a "print credit" or towards engagement pictures. I would hate for you to lose it...but at the same time, you want beautiful photographs that capture the moment you share....besides. you will spend more time with the photographer that day than your family!! (I know it's sad) but it also shouldn't take 1500 pictures for them to get 10 good ones!!!!!
email me or give me a call. all my info is on my blog :)

So I booked my photographer a few months ago based on the photos I saw on her website. My fiancee and I met with her and she seemed nice. But I looked at her website today and viewed actual events she had done. The pictures looked nothing like they did on the sample page on her site! I think we are going to change photographers and lose our deposit. Does anyone know of any good photographers in St. Louis that aren't too expensive? I'm willing to pay a little more for better quality at this point.
