@MaybeFutureMrs:  You will! My friend HATED her ring when she first got it (it’s very detailed), but now that she’s worn it 3 years, she’s SO happy with it!

It’s a beautiful ring!!!

Give it some time and if youre still not happy you could talk about an upgrade at some point? 🙂

@MaybeFutureMrs:  Oo I love it! I love substantial rings/bands! What is it you don’t love? Maybe you can make that part up by finding it in a wedding band!

@MaybeFutureMrs:  What is it about it you don’t like?  I think it’s very pretty!  If it’s the setting you don’t like, maybe you could have the diamond reset and keep your sentimental value. 🙂

I like your ring but the shank is a bit thick for my personal taste.  Is that the issue?  Did you want a thinner shank or one with more detail?  If you want a thinner shank you could have them shave it down or melt it to a different design.  Or you could get a new setting like the PP said but use the gold from your current shank to create a wedding band.  That way you always have the original ring with you but just in another form that is more pleasing to you.

Sorry you don’t like it… it looks like a classic to me, I can’t see anything wrong with it from the photo! What do you dislike about it?

I am sorry you feel that way. There is nothing classier than a solitaire, it’s a very pretty ring! There are so many beautiful rings out there, you are probably just seeing so many options out there and comparing it to yours. I wouldn’t worry, it really is beautiful!

I think it’s classic and beautiful 🙂 I bet a ring guard would look great with it! I love solitares in the fact that they are so easy to find bands to go with it.  have you started trying wedding bands yet?

I think it’s gorgeous, personally. And it will give you so many options for bands! like the clean, classic look of a solitaire, and think it looks great on your hand. have one that is similar

I feel the same way!  I totally understand.  My ring is fine, it’s pretty and it’s sentimental because he picked it out.  But it’s not like this amazing thing I’m obsessed with that made all my dreams come true lol.  It’s a little boring and a little small, but oh well.  I think I had unrealistic expectations.  I think that maybe for our ten year anniversary I will ask for a new e-ring and take this diamond to make a mother’s RHR.  Or maybe I’ll keep the ring in its entirety and pass it on.  Idk!

@MaybeFutureMrs:  Its a classic beautiful ring… Remember, that the ring’s supposed to be a symbol of his love for you… When you look at it, you can see it like that. Like a reminder that he loves you sooooo much, that he considers you the love of his life.

Maybe at some point you can change the band to something you like more? Then you will still have the stone he proposed with.
