@NK2012:  I would let it go. He already bought you a sweet gift. As long as he calls or gets in touch with you in some way today, he has expressed his affections more than sufficiently. A card or flowers tend to be a rip off and don’t always arrive on time on top of being materialistic so I would not blame him for not going that route.

@NK2012:  In a word, yes.  

You sort of set yourself up for disappointment by getting your hopes up. It’s okay that you’re a little disappointed, I get where you’re coming from, as long as you don’t guilt your boyfriend over it or make him feel bad. Remember he didn’t do anything wrong.

As long as he remembers its your bday and tells you on the phone, I think he’s being a great bf! It was really sweet of him to get you your gift ahead of time so you could have it in person.
