@Future_Mrs_Naugle:  I think it depends, but what airline company are you purchasing from? I know with Ryanair I can chose to go with return or single tickets. Other companies have that option as well.

@Future_Mrs_Naugle:  If it says one way then you do have to pay your tickets back home but if it says round trip then the ticket back home is already included in there.

expedia’s the higher of the two prices. so if a round trip leaving on day x is 300, and a round trip returning on day 7 is 325, you pay 325, and vice versa. it’s not cumulative.

Some websites make you go through the process to see the airfare home, too. If you book through American, for example, round trip, you’ll see the departing flight fares/times, then once you choose that it lets you see the returning fares/times.

If it had you pick what day you’re departing and then what day you’re coming back home, it is giving you the round trip price.
