make programs? write a song list for dj? songs for ceremony? buy thank you cards? make up a list of photos you want the photographer to take? make up a day-of schedule so that people know when to be where and vendors know when to start things?
there will be a lot of little things like that as you get closer!
We're not having programs, photographer is a friend of ours who we trust to do her thing, our wedding site is a gallery which is wired for sound, so we're just hooking up an ipod with a long playlist that my fiancee, the music nut, is taking care of. But that is my fear, that there will be all of these small details that I'm not thinking about now, but will pile up in the next two months. Ahhhhh, I hate it when I create stress for myself!!! :)
Is it too soon to make programs? That and folding and assembling favor boxes are all I can think of at the moment!
We're in a similar boat where we meet with the caterer later this month, my seamstress told me to call back in January to schedule alterations (I only need a bustle unless I lose weight), and I just can't wrap my head around figuring out what to tell the DJ.
I don't think it's too soon to do programs. I started designing mine already. Some things still need to be decided (like readings and songs) but the main 'guts' of it is done!
We're doing cookies from a family recipe for our favors so I've designed the card to go with those.... Instead of making individual placecards I'm making a seating list, so I already started the basic layout for that. We decided our menu last month so I have the menu cards ready to go. I also started some DIY decorations. I have my dress but just need the bustle put in.
I haven't set on a baker yet for the cake (mostly because I'm not sure what I want!) and we have it down to 2 DJs... other than that I think I'm ok. Am I missing anything? There's so much it's hard to remember sometimes.
I've actually finished our programs (they are fairly simple) - think I should go ahead and print and assemble? I worry someone will back out or insist on something weird (one person requested I list their middle initials in a certain way, different from everyone else - annoying, but I'm going with it).

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I finally ordered the invites today, so I can have plenty of time to get them addressed, stamped, and mailed by the first week of January. I finally set an appointment for a fitting with a tailor (bought my dress second hand, and it needs some pretty major work). We're meeting the caterer (already booked) next month to get the menu situated. Besides that, I don't think I have anything else I can really do. Short of freak out over how I'm paying for all this. :) Anyone else in this boat? I feel like I'm probably forgetting something else I should be doing this month.
