Ladies....I am officially a 2 dress bride AND super excited (and relieved) that I will feel perfect on my wedding day.

I tried and tried and tried some more to convince myself that the dress I bought would be great, but in reality I had second thoughts about it all along and finally came to terms with the fact that it wasn't the dress for me. As a lot of you know, I considered changing the straps, the silhouette, the back of the dress, the bustle, adding lace, etc. But it wasn't the dress that I envisioned getting married in when all was said and done. The dress still hasn't come in yet, but I'm really hoping to find another bride that loves it (I posted it on oncewed, preownedweddingdresses, and ebay).

I found my dream gown by glancing at the classifieds on here for petite brides and found a post for the dress (YAY!). It has everything that I was looking for (silk/satin, strapless, romantic long train with detail, lace overlay, perfect size & color for my petite frame)!

Just for final reassurance that I made the right decision, please let me know what you think of the new dress compared to the original one (and PLEASE be honest). I haven't tried on the gown myself, but the bride that is selling it to me has an identical body type to me.

    Thanks bees!!!!

Honestly, honestly, I think the new dress is more fitting!  I remember you posting your first dress, and I think it's stunning.  But, I look at your new dress and think "Wow!  That's THE dress!"

P.S. Let me know how the modified a-line looks on a petite bride!  Being petite myself, I'd love to see pics once you get it!

I like the first dress too. The second one is pretty but the first one....wow. I think that is a good choice.

I don't know your history with your original dress but I like the new dress a lot better than the off shoulder one and if the seller and you have the identical body type, I think I like the dress fits better, too!

Congrats on finding the second dress and goodluck selling the first one.  LOL, from reading your previous posts, I'm glad you went out and looked for another dress...are you perfectly happy with everything in this dress?

Personally I love the second dress.  Will the person selling you the dress allow you to return in the event you don't like it?  As much as I love the second dress, please try the dress on first (if possible) before making a final decision.

The off the shoulder one looked a little bulky in the back to me where the sleeves are. The strapless looks amazing on you!

I actually lke the old one....you don't see dresses like that often, it's very old fashioned and romantic. I might just be a little old lady at heart though :)

I'm with Frenchie, I love the off the shoulder dress!  But if it's not your style, or you feel uncomfortable in it, you should go with the strapless.  It's beautiful as well.

I am a sucker for lace, and I love the texture it gives to the strapless dress :)

I think the one with the lace is infinately more flattering. The first one with the way the shoulders are overpowers your tiny frame and the other one is just sleek, classic and just gorgeous! (not saying the first isn't pretty, but I like the sleekness of the new one for a petite frame)

I loved the portrait neckline and the classic look of the first dress, but you're going to look great in either one!

Because your wedding is in May, I chose the strapless. The first dress gives me a little winter/holiday vibe.

I was thinking that the first dress was more of a winter dress as well! I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thought that. I am SO happy with my new dress - it is perfect for me!! I really appreciate all of your support!! Laughing

Is the first dress from David's? Maybe they would let you return it for store credit that you could use toward Bridesmaid or Mom's dresses.

I actually got a FULL refund on my David's Bridal dress (YAY!!) I haven't bought the second dress yet, I'm still looking to make sure that I am totally sure this time. Back to square one now....well sort of. Laughing I'm having fun dress shopping, but need to make a final decision soon.

The three gowns that I love are:

Maggie Sottero - Jocelyn (satin, mermaid with pick-ups)

Watters - Torrean (satin, a-line with intricate lace)

Melissa Sweet - Lia (satin, trumpet with clean lines)

I haven't tried any of them on, but I LOVE the looks/styles!
