I am not a ballgown person, but this looks super cute on you (like it so much better than the one from yesterday!) and I think it's perfect for your theme.
I think so too. Its totally me in a dress. Like I said I am plain jane and I can jazz it up with some awesome earrings! And a bracelet. No necklace(not fond of them) but I love it so much. I have worn many fitted dresses in the Navy for the Corpsman Balls and just dont want to. I want to be a beautiful,classy bride and I feel light and airy in this!

Now Mori Lee does have one very similar with a more natural waist so she said IF i wanted to,I can order it too... 4705
It might make me look more elongated but the style is sooo pretty on both!
@sooner365: I like the first dress you posted - it looks great on you and I like the blingy belt better on that one than the 4705.
@Mrs. Fireworks:ya,she said i can have either belt so thats good. I do like the waist on that one above a bit more. to elongate me. Bc I am short lol. So I will try that one too just to see. But def.between those 2!
My mom is in OKC and I sent her a pic and she said "wow!" My mom has not ever said that about any other dress so this must be it:)
I was glad to see the pic of the Maggie a bit further down, because my reaction was that it's a gorgeous dress but it seems like the poof starts a bit too high up and is cutting you off in a weird spot - I think the mroe natural waist would be perfect!
@Wonderstruck: and that was my initial thought too. The above one is a Mori Lee but I cant try it on... no one has it out here:( Its tafetta and tulle.
I want the same details but just a bit more dropped but I LOVE the dress:)
@pengoala: yes very happy,just wished it was a bit more dropped. I LOVE the poofiness and actually just found one very similar to this but more natural waist.not so high its by Ella...
Have you looked at your smile when wearing that dress? Wow! I think it matches that fun, warm smile perfectly. And part of the fun is the waist. Yes, you would probably look more "elegant" with a lower waist, but this dress absolutely underlines the FUN! Keep that smile going and you'll stick a smile on your guest's faces that will last for days :-)
(I tried on a similar dress just to try something I'd never wear since my wedding just isn't the right frame for a ball gown, and found myself smiling and dancing, the high waist and poofy skirt, well, it's.. fun! I loved it! :-D )
(I don't think I could've used the word FUN more times in there even if I tried to... haha)
@Peluches:FUN!! yay! I do have a huge goober smile lol. I am just not 100% sold on the waist.... I do love it though. The other 2 are sooo similar just the waist is a bit diff. I'll see sat.what out of the 3 look the best but I KNOW it'll be a hard decision. I just feel so pretty in a ballgown!! The consultant said to me I may need more natural waist and when I come in Sat. she will have some for me to try. So thats good to know. I want something as close as possible to this dress bc the style/details are me.
Ok,so my consultant found this one too. It is just like my black/white ballgown from DB but alll white and more beautiful:) with a sash just like the one I 1st posted! WOW!!! ANd its cheaper lol! Simple still,by Mori Lee Voyage collection,which I totally didnt even look at. 
I liked how the dress looks at you, it looks amazing! And I think it would suit your theme aswell! :D
<3 it! i fell in love with the mori lee 4524 - very similar! and it was only $400 at the salon near me..i ended up not buying it but dreamt about it for months- i loved the pockets

Short girl here and I did a ball gown for my prom! I say go for the more natural waist. I will definitely elongate you because IMO the skirt is a bit too full for your frame. Dress is gorgeous though! I did notice on the website that the natural waist does not have buttons all the way down like the first. The drop waist you posted wont look the same on you unless you have VERY long legs. The skirt probably wont look the same because of your height. I vote for the natural waist, perfect for your wedding look!
@jpalm13:i did have one from db and this one is the same cut:) I do have long torso and legs I THINK...LOL i am 5'4 and a half(navy told me so haha!) and this style waist was awesome on me! my dream dress but was ruined by DB:(( It had rips and tears in the tulle
Then yes you do have long legs lol. Mine are the same length as my 5'7" friend and I'm 5'3"
I'd call around and see if you could find it before buying. I think it'd depend on where the drop waist sits. If the dress in your pic (such a sad story its soo pretty!) had another 2 inches in the top it would likely shrink you and look like a quasi fit and flare.

Be careful at Carrillos Emporium. My Bestie had a not so great experiance there and I have seen mixed reviews about the place. Most were when it came to alterations.

Aw, the pictures aren't working.. but I ADORE that dress. I tried on several Mori Lee gowns that were very similar to that one. I love ballgowns- mine is very similar to the second one you posted. Congratulations on finding the one, it's gorgeous!
@totheislnds: I tried that one on too! I loved it. Didn't end up buying it.. and after I purchased my gown I thought back to it a couple times but it just wasn't QUITE "the" dress. I loved the pockets though! So fun.

After grueling hours searching for a dress I went to a bridal store,Carrillos Emporium and passed it up. The lady asked me what I wanted. I said classy,age appropriate, something simple but with a bit pizzaz(me). She pulled this and WOW!!! I love it soooo much! It has buttons allll the way down and just is so me! I am a simple girl but fun too. I love the sparkle belt and how it looks and feels. I didnt have a slip under but it will poof even more! Only $625 too! She said it is taking about 4 mo.for them to come in. FI loves it, it is me too he said. It was one of the 1st samples in white and pretty close to my size I tried on too:) I feel like a 28 y/o bride to be(29 next yr when we get married). So soft and simple!
I would have never put this on either. The lady asked what is my theme and I told her winter wonderland with blues silver and white. PERFECT she said. I think so too! FI is very happy with the price! I dont think I have smiled so much ever in a dress. THe AA cinder.is pretty but I feel like I am playing dress up. I went back to confirm my feelings and compare and I just felt like this was it for me. AA is too much for me after all but a ballgown is where its at!!
