Yay! My long dress search is finally over!

I tried on more dresses than I can count but didn't get that teary-eyed experience everyone talks about. When I tried this one on though, I finally felt like a bride. All the other dresses just felt like I was playing dress-up.

The dress comes with a big bow sash but I swapped it out for a gorgeous flower sash instead. I also love the unique texture and pinched flower details. So I took the plunge and ordered my dress today!

What do you think? (The sample was 5 sizes too big so excuse the jumbo clamps in the photos.)

Thanks for all the compliments!! Its much more traditional than I thought I would go for. I'm a designer & illustrator and love lots of color, texture and a mix of vintage/modern elements. I'm thinking of adding some retro shoes or a colorful hairpin to reflect my artsy side a bit more. Any suggestions?

The dress is by Vera Wang which I thought would be waaay out of my price range. I went to look "just for fun" but was surprised to find several dresses I liked that were all significantly less than the Christos dress I had my eye on but couldn't afford. And it doesn't hurt to respectfully ask for a better price- they gave me 10% off and a free veil included to keep the price under budget :)

Thanks again for all the compliments. Its hard to make these decisions alone. None of my bridesmaids or family are nearby so I really appreciate the kind words! You've made my day!
