- Wedding: August 2014
Hi everyone! A little background…I ordered my dress over a month ago from a local bridal store. Since my dress is from the Spring 2014 collection, no store near my area has a sample for me to try on. I was so in love with the stock photos, and it had everything I was looking for, so I decided to order it without ever seeing it in person! The bridal salon had me try on similar dresses from the same line from the designer to give me a better idea of how my dress will look and fit. I usually don’t like buying anything I haven’t tried on, so for me to take a risk with my wedding dress was a big deal for me.
Another salon had my information from a previous appointment, and the consultant told me she would call once they get the sample of my dress in. I was so excited, so I immediately went to this store to finally see my dress. The consultant who helped me at this store was kind enough to still give me a call even though I had previously admitted to her that I will most likely order my dress at a different bridal store. I am so thankful she still called me! 🙂
Here it is! I am not really a “blingy” person, but for some reason, I was attracted to fully beaded gowns! I particulary like how the beading goes all the way down, near the bottom, and doesn’t just stop around the lower hip area.
PS: The sample was champagne. I ordered the dress in ivory. For references, I am 5’1 and was wearing 4 inch heels on the pictures. I lost about 20lbs since September 😀 and have about 10 more lbs to go. The dress was four sizes too big (had some gathering in the mid section) and was obviously too long for me. 😉
*took a pic with the flash on to show all the sparkles*
I was not wearing and not planning on wearing a bra since the neckline shows more cleavage than I would prefer, but here is the detailed pic of the beadwork. I will be wearing those adhesive covers.
I hope you like my dress! I will post pictures of my first fitting once the dress is here! 😉
