It appears that you did it with fondant. Wow it is flawless. Like the weddinbee-er what flavor did you bake?
That was a kind gesture especially last minute. The FB will be crying tears of joy since you made her day.
It's vanilla cake with raspberry filling and buttercream icing.
The exterior is buttercream, wow it looks so round and perfect that I believed it was fondant. The filling sounds delicious.
Thanks! It's crusting buttercream shaped to look like 'faux fondant,' so that's a great compliment!! 
Great job! I do cakes as a hobby. I totally admire your ability to get bcream that smooth. Any secrets you would like to pass on?

Georgia - I used the 'Viva Paper Towel' method on cakecentral. If you google it you'll get lots of results. It was much easier for me than fondant.

That turned out great! If you hadn't said that you did this as a hobby I'd have thought you did it for a living! If I were the FB, you'd have made my day!!

Yep, you heard that right!
FI's cousin is getting married tomorrow, and her baker backed out at the last second! Her mother asked if I would make the cake. I bake as a hobby - but I've never made a wedding cake! So much pressure! It's a 2 tier topper for a cupcake tower (which are already made.. whew!). Her colors are white, aqua, lime, orange, and hot pink. Her flowers are gerberas. I hope she likes it!
