Yeah it's the worst. I put a ponytail holder around my finger when that happened haha.
OMG worst feeling ever!!! I have a necklace that holds charms and I put my ring on there sometimes if I have to take it off.
I had to do that this morning and I forgot to put it back on. I FREAKED when I saw that my ring finger was bare, I thought I forgot to put it on!

Yup, and I went back home to get it! I hadn't gotten too far though.
I've forgotten once or twice. Just feel a little naked until I get a chance to put them on again.
@KeeKalena: Yes!! And I keep like moving my fingers around feeling for it and then have a mini freak-outs when I realize its not there again!
Yes! I have! The first time it happened I was pretty upset, I had a mini freak out. Also, my rings are super snug so I fiddle with them a lot through out the day and when I would do that and they weren't there I'd have a 5 second panic attack that I lost them.
I did it a second time and it wasn't so bad, just felt a little naked. Hopefully I don't do it again!
I have and it sucked! My finger felt so naked and my heart dropped when I realized (but then went back to normal once I figured out where they were).
Yes, I have forgotten my rings in the past and I hate it! It usually happens when my morning routine is disrupted or really rushed. I used to forget my engagement ring more when I first got it; it doesn't happen nearly as often now.
@KatyLovesJoey: Oh no, that whomps so bad. Get a fill-in ring for the moment! LOL!
I usually take out my ring when I'm working with fondant and when I forget to put it back on I freak out. I've gone out once with FI after doing a cake and I was like NOOOOO go back home, he's like hmmm why? I'm like "I need to put my baby on!!!". His answer: No need to go back, just put it on when we get back home!, arghh... face slap lol
I forgotten a few times. I can't wear it at work I work in a deli and already dinged it off a slicer. So I don't want to ruin it. I usually only wear it on my days off or when we go out. I always feel weird without it because when I do wear it I always use my thumb to check to make sure its still there even when I am not wearing it. lol Will say SUCKS to forget on my days off 8[
i take off my ring when i wash my hair cause it get's tangled in my curls. some mornings i'm in such a rush i leave it in the bathroom only to realize once i get to the office. then i spend all day missing it lol.
which is hysterical becuase i'm not a jewelry person by ANY means (my ring is the singular piece of real jewelry I own) but I feel like i'm practically missing a finger on those days lol
I don't really ever take my ring off so luckily I have never left the house without it. I can't imagine the feeling!
I forgot to put it on one day after i showerd, I went to work and felt naked all day :( ohh and the fiance wasnt to happy abput it either lol
The one time I forgot mine I was still in the parking lot of our apartment complex when I noticed so I went back to get it even though I was already running late.
i think i forgot it once.... and i freaked out and went back and got it...i dont feel the same without it , i wouldnt want to be a whole day away from it...lol
I've forgotten it maybe once or twice, and it's a little weird, but doesnt bother me enough to waste time going back to get it if I've gone more than half mile down the road. A few times I just backed out of the driveway and realized and went back into get it.
I ran up the road a couple of weeks ago to get coffee and forgot my ring. I noticed when I handed the cashier my money and was like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...As soon as I got home I put it on and had a pep talk with it. LOL!
lol, I guess I'm just not that hugely sentimental 'cause I forget mine all the time. I take it off for one thing or another at home and forget to put it back on then realize a few hours later. Though now that I found a ring snuggie to make it fit better I'm not taking it off as often, which is good.
Just once, before I went to bed - it was right after we got the ring, and I woke up and had a moment of panic because it wasn't on my finger. I went stumbling through the dark, stepped on the dog, and almost took a dive down the stairs. It was pretty epic.
It makes me uncomfortable to not have it on, just because I'd hate to lose it - even though we have insurance, etc. Whenever I do take it off, I always tell FI exactly where I'm putting it as a precaution against the forget-and-freak-out reaction.
My finger feels too naked without it. I usually realize it's missing either as I'm walking downstairs or backing out of the driveway. I think I'd die without my wedding ring on. LOL
I've forgotten it a couple times already and I only got engaged a few months ago. Whoops!
The first time I forgot I kind of freaked, but after that I realized it's not a huge deal. (To me...I think FI thinks after all the money that went in to it I better never take it off!)
I've forgotten it once, and I felt pretty naked the whole day. I didn't like it at all. I was tempted to get a stand-in and leave it in my wallet! haha.
I've done it 2-3 times. I voted I freaked because I wasn't happy about it but I won't turn around or drive home to go get it if I do forget.
Yep! I did once, but I realized it as soon as I got in the car and I made my FI turn around so I could run back in and get it.
I actually forgot yesterday. It usually isn't a big deal, but I had a coworker visit from another office and he asked to see the ring. And then I went to a dress salon after work to try on dresses and felt a little naked without the ring.
I've never forgotten to put on my engagement/wedding rings (yet) but...
I have been wearing different rings on both hands every day since high school. when I forget to put them on, my hand feels different. I keep freaking out when I don't feel anything there, and then relief when I remember they're at home, I did not lose them.
wearing a few rings has always been part of my look, so I feel plain and kind of naked without them too.
I did the opposite - before we were "out" at work (we work together and no one had any idea we were even dating), I forgot to take my ring off in the morning and accidentally wore it to work! I did a good job hiding it that day.
I only wear mine on weekends (my cohort doesn't know we're engaged yet). I'm always worried that I will forget it because I feel weird without it. I've done it maybe once and felt strange all day.
I remembered before I got out of the building and went back upstairs to put it on. I've never not worn it out of the house. It will be weird when I send it to get plated.
I have forgotten to put it on and I felt naked without it. I switched my right hand ring over but it didn't feel the same.

Ya know, whenever someone talks about forgetting to put on their ring(s) I always think of celebs and how everybody freaks out if they're photographed while they aren't wearing them. Come on guys, they're human too - they forget to put it back on after they shower too!
I have forgotten a few times and I always hate it! For a while I had a cheap silver ring in my car that I'd taken off over the summer when my fingers were swollen and kept forgetting to bring back inside, so I would stick that on (clearly it was in my car a while) so I didn't feel naked. I hate not wearing rings, engagement ring or not!
Yeah, I have forget it a few times at home when I am in a hurry to get out of the door. I always think people in the office notice and think they must be having problems shes not wearing her ring.
