Hooray for finding a good DOC! I giggled a little when i clicked this thread, thinking that this DOC might be something other than a Day of Coordinator though, since it was categorized as Accessories! =)
Oh wow, that's such a bad way to do business but, at least it made your decision that much easier

Congrats. I had a similar meeting with my photoraphers. At the end of the meeting, she handed me a contract to sign. I was like ... uh, no, we're intereviewing several photographers and we'll get back to you.
Krissycake, ha ha! I had no idea what to put this under so I was like "well...I'm using her, kinda, so she's like an accessory!" Hence, accessories. Me trying to be funny!
Wow this is why planners get a bad rap most of the time because of people who do business like the second one you met with. It amazes me how someone could make you feel like that. Of course it's your wedding and that is why they have a job...DUH! I am so glad you found someone you clicked with! Congratulations! I hope everything turns out perfect for you!

It rhymes. Cause I'm awesome. Seriously though, I met with two Day of Coordinators today! They were the same price so it was really deciding which one I clicked with more... I forgot to compare what the packages actually WERE, but they were the same price.
The first one I met with was AMAZING! Loved her so much, SO much- we talked for about an hour and a half and totally clicked. She's completely, completely organized and even before the meeting she was absolutely awesome at responding to emails and answering questions. I trust her completely and totally with everything involving my wedding and I get alot of additional planning time in her package than the other one.
The second one... bad news. I had no idea she was bringing her assistant which bothered me because I like meeting people one on one. I felt like she wasn't listening to me at ALL and basically steamrolled her way through the conversation. Couldn't really get a word in edgewise and that she just wasn't interested in it being MY wedding and thought of it as a wedding to add to her portfolio even though she's not designing the event. Also, even though the price was the same the package was much, much more limited. But the real kicker was that I felt like she thought the contract was as good as done, that she had it in the bag and so she didn't even try to conceal the fact that she had another appointment right after mine (that apparently was more important) and even cut our meeting short before I could even ask questions!
Clearly, we have a winner!
