It’s Justin Alexander 8465, and you’ll still be able to find it in 2 years, guaranteed.  It’s a very popular dress – don’t buy it now.  You’ll probably find it preowned for much less by the time you’re ready to buy.

I’m in Iowa too!  I have to agree with Kristen…you still have lots of time and you could change your mind a time or two before the wedding gets here.  Plus, yes, there should be preowned dresses available for a lot less OR the dress will be on sale by the time you need it.

I would definitely hold off.  Gorgeous dress though!

I suggest finiding a bridal shop that carries it and try it on…. go from there. I bought my dress a whopping 20 months before the wedding… I get to wear it in 11 months!

@vmec:  Also agree with this.  This dress is hard to wear (in my opinion) and you could love or hate the way it looks on you, so maybe trying it on would be a good idea so you can see if this style is even what you’re looking for.

@Moergy: It’s also available in a full length style 8483, just fyi 🙂 BEST DRESS EVER. Of course I’m biased, she’s my beauty! 🙂

Id hold off and try buying from another bride, that dress is super beautiful and is super popular right now. Maybe you could find a gently used one instead of paying full price! =)

Finding it pre-owned should be no problem, like other bees said. However, I would definitely wait, as a new style you like even better might come out in a year.

I just tried this dress on yesterday and, while I love it on the model and other real brides, I didn’t care for it on me at all. So sad!

I started shopping about 18 months before my wedding and fell in love with a dress, when i went back to the store to order the dress new styles had come out and i fell head over heels in love with a different dress.  I would have been really sad if I had ordered the first dress sooner because the newer style was more me and I am glad I waited.  It’s great that you found a dress you love just wait a  bit to make sure there isnt anything you love more.

I bought my dress In February 2011 And my wedding is in January 2013. And I do kinda regret that I bought a dress so soon. I love my dress, and I would not change it, but wished I shopped more.

@Moergy: i purchased my dress 2 months ago and im getting married in May 2013… they won’t start fitting you for your dress until the time comes but if it’s TRUELY your dream dress, i’d at least put a down payment on it in case they discontinue making the dress… 🙂 good luck

I bought my dress before we were engaged in May 2009 (the ring existed, I just didn’t have it until Jan 2010). It was actually the best piece of advice I got, because if I would have waited, I wouldn’t have been able to find the dress. No dress regret! Go for it! I’m not getting any alterations until August.

Yeah, that is a gorgeous one, one of the favorites on WB, I’d wager. Haven’t seen it in person but the lace looks exquisite.
