Hello ladies, I’ve lerked on here for a long time, but I can’t resist posting now. I found my dress several months ago and truly loved it. I bought the Watters Torrean, and I had a really hard time dress shopping overall, so I was happy when I found this!!
I have started to feel a bit “underwhelmed” by the dress. Can you give me your thoughts on it?? I really really desperately wanted a mermaid dress, and I know this isn’t really one, so I’m thinking I will get my “love” feeling back when I do alterations and make it more fitted and flare out more at the bottom (I was told this was possible?) Also, I bought the dress too tight, so as you can see if the pictures, I still need to loose weight in order to fit properly without having it let out at all.
Anyways, any opinions or thoughts you could offer would be much appreciated! Do you think it will look better more mermaid fit? Should I make the neckline a sweetheart? Thanks!!

The train is AMAZING!
I don’t know how you could feel underwhelmed because the dress is just so unique, yet still timeless.
I think once the dress is fitted to you after alterations your worries will be taken care of!

We are dress twins! So my opinion will be biased. I like your dress a lot! Haha
But seriously, you wear it really well and it looks great on you. I also wanted a mermaid and I am going to ask my seamstress to add a little crinoline from the knee down and keep the hips form-fitted. I’ve seen another girl who was selling this dress online made the neckline into a sweetheart and somehow it didn’t seem to look quite right but perhaps it was just that she didn’t have a great seamstress.

That dress is stunning! I love the long train with all the details on it.

The dress is AMAZING. You certainly have the body for it! I think you’ll fall back in love with it when you get it altered. Maybe adding a veil and jewlery will help rekindle your love again too?

I think it’ll look fabulous once it fits better. What a train!

That dress is gorgeous – I’ve never seen it on here before that I remember.
I think that it gives off a “fit and flare” vibe already because of how it fits and once you have the alts done it will be just perfect.

I think you look fantastic in that dress! It is not underwhelming at all! Your dress is unique and gorgeous.

Wow, everyone is so fast! Thanks ladies, I think I just need to go get it altered and I will love it more. I am just impatient, and I want to go alter it now, but I know i need to wait to see if I can loose the weight….ahhhh.

DON’T MAKE IT FIT-N-FLAIR! IT’LL RUIN IT’S SHAPE!
The dress look amazing on you as is! I’d leave it leave it leave it! <3

I agree with a PP – it’ll look fantastic when it’s altered. (At present, it doesn’t do favors for your tiny tummy. You’re incredibly slim without looking like a pre-teen – your dress should do you justice in that.)

It’s overwhelmingly gorgeous!! You will look amazing, my dear!
