So I found my perfect dress just now. It is stunning and one of a kind. I don't want to lose it, but I am not even engaged yet. Am I crazy? I have never seen anything so magnificent. Seriously, it is just so me!

That back detail is beautiful!! Sadly though...I tend to be supersitious and wouldn't buy it until I had a ring...but do what you feel is right for you. Love it!

Can you afford to buy it right now? I would kind of normally NEVER say this, but if this is the one, get it now because I don't think you'll see it again once it sells. I'm like this with sapphires, if I have to have it, I try and get it because I might never see another color like it again.

As long as you haven't felt the same way before about a different dress I say buy it.

Isn't it awesome? And I think my back could pull it off. I will wait, but I love drooling over the pictures. I hope SO does it soon (Anniversary is a few weeks away) so I can just buy it.

@missfrillycoat:  Nope, never felt this way. I started tearing up!  Hahaha I like other dresses but this makes my stomach knot and I feel all weird and excited.

What a beautiful dress! I don't think I could buy a dress if I wasn't engaged though :( Hopefully, it will still be available when you are no longer waiting.

Could you maybe ask the seller to put a hold on it for you if you give them a deposit?

I'd buy it. Then again, I'm not superstitious and it's gorgeous!

However, I'd try on a similar one (fabric) to make sure you like how it looks on you. That fabric looks like it may be clingy, but maybe it's just me noticing because it'd look terrible on me. :)

I am going to say wait until you are engaged. I just think it is not a good idea to buy wedding stuff until the ring is on the finger!

Here is hoping it happens soon for you :)

Buy it and say its a ball dress. Then when you get engaged you just happen to already have the perfect dress that you have not had the opportunity to wear yet!

Buy it! If you don't, the world will cry. That is seriously one of the most beautiful, stunning dresses that I have ever seen.

Wow I love it! That back is absolutely dramatic and gorgeous! I'm not sure if you should buy it or not, but you definitely have awesome taste! Hope you make a decision that you are happy with and that your boyfriend doesn't wait too much longer!

Usually, I'd caution you to wait but I did a little thread stalking and see that he's got the ring and you're just waiting for the proposal. Since it's definitely coming, I'd say go ahead and buy if you don't think you can wait. You may want to ask the seller if it's possible to recreate the same dress, though - because then you'd know if it did get sold in the meantime, she can always make a new one?

You know, or just buy it and have it stored somewhere he's not gonna find it lol.

I say buy it!! If you feel that strongly (and rightly so, it's stunning) about it, there's no harm in getting it. I'm not superstitious either, I would get a dress if I knew it was the one. I'm not engaged yet either, anniversary is also next week, but I have bought my wedding shoes. It was an amazing deal and I knew instantly they were the ones.

I say buy it--worst case, if your boyfriend doesn't propose or takes a while, you'll still love it and you could stick it in your closet until you are engaged. Best case, you have one less thing to worry about in a few weeks. That means more time to stare at your sparkly left hand.

so i missed my chance!! she only has a size 16 left, but will let me know next week if she might have a 10. she says she won't get the beadwork for a while so can't make another anytime soon, but i told her whenever she can make an 8 i will buy it flat out.

i can't believe i found it at 11pm and it was gone so fast. oh well. if it's meant to be she will make me one when she gets the beadwork.

the good thing is i saved all the pictures and will get it recreated once i'm engaged! yay!

@SillyStacey:  Its probably for the best anyways. Now you can be picky about the fabric since it will be custom made :D

That dress is gorgeous, especially the beadwork. I'm a sucker for details in a dress, and that definitely has a TON of detail. Anyway, yeah I'd get it if she makes another one. At least now you know what your dream dress looks like. One thing less to check off the list when you get engaged.

I am definitely not engaged and I bought my dream dress preowned on ebay because it was the size and length I was looking for and such a deal!  If something happens I will resell it but I just couldn't pass it up!  If you found what you love then definitely go for it!

If it really is THE dress you don't want to lose it. What timeframe are you talking for the engagement/marriage? Woud your SO understand if you explained why you bought it so early?

I'm not superstitious either. If you and your SO are on the exact same page and you're pretty much just waiting for him to officially pop the question, GET IT! I know a few girls who have done that lol They had their whole wedding planned in 2 weeks after engagement because all they were waiting for was the official ring lol.

On the other hand, if you don't have an open dialogue with your SO and aren't sure if he IS proposing...obviously don't get it haha.

Skurrrrrrrrt...just read your update! Definitely keep the pics and have it made once you're officially engaged. I freakin love the beadwork and the back of the dress. It's gorgeous :)

    UPDATE:

I BOUGHT IT!!!!  YAYAYAYA! She had a 12 that I can size down to a 10 and it is $500 so I bought it.

Oh My God!  I am SOOOO excited to get it!

Just for those that don't know, we have had lots of talks, he has bought my dream ring and is waiting to make it special. He is really picky and perfectionist. He takes his time to do everything, but when it is really important he plans and plans and mulls over it for a while. So I know it is coming soon but just waiting for him to have it all laid out.

The best part is that it matches with the style of my ring (I went with him to pick it out). It is a vintage delicate ring from the 30's and this dress is just perfect for it and me and him (Because he will look great next to me in it) hahaha!

I am really giddy right now.
