Hi! I ordered the Maggie Sottero Aurelie dress back in June and it came in a month ago and I thought I liked it...but I had never had that "the one" feeling with the dress. I figured I just wasn't that type of girl.

So I went in today for a fitting and I just broke down crying because I really didn't like it. I really wanted a dress with sleeves but had given up and compromised since nobody makes them anymore. I just really didn't like it, even with the little jacket to add sleeves to it. It was beautiful and it looked good on me and the quality was great and I had seen it on other people and it looked good...and I hated it. My poor bridal consultant got really upset that here I was crying in her store and told me not to worry, she would fix it.

She went and pulled every old dress off the rack that they had that had sleeves--short sleeves, long sleeves, and anything her seamstress could add sleeves to. The first one I had seen and it was ugly. The second one she had just received in from Mary's Bridal. I guess they had sent her some dresses they were discontinuing and she was planning to sell them as sample dresses.

I tried it on, and started crying again. It was perfect. I don't have any pictures, but here it is on the manufacturer's website.

The quality of the lace and beading is not as good as the Maggie Sottero, but the dress as a whole is absolutely breathtaking. It sits higher on my torso than that model too--fits all the way up to the points of my shoulders. Absolutely stunning. I am so in love. It also fits like a glove.

I am still crying because I am so happy. I just wanted to share. :)

@meliss Yep. The old dress is in the shop right now. Maggie Sottero Aurelie in white/white/pewter, size 12, unaltered, brand spanking new. If you are interested I can give you her number. :)

Aww, yay!  Your dress is stunning (OMG, the back is breathtaking!) and most of all, I'm so happy to read you found a dress that fulfills your dreams.  I know the exact feeling of having something not feel "you" and that's definitely not a feeling any girl deserves on her wedding day (let alone, ever!).
