So! FI had my e-ring custom made, and some how the subject of a matching band never came up.. So I was without, luckily I did not like the required “curvature” that said band would have to have in order for them to sit flush. I want a ring I can wear on its own, if I decide not to wear the e-ring one day for some reason (that I cant see, but hey! I want the option!) So we bought a very delicate, and thin black diamond band, then a white diamond band, then a a 4ct total semi eternity band. I tried on numerous rings, trying to find the “right” one for me! Including enhancers, which I later ruled out as well! So after the great debate. I decided!!!The very dainty, black diamond band. The black and white enhancer was to much, the white enhancers curbs bothered me (they are actually two seperate rings) the eternity band (like one shown) was just WAY to much diamond, if there is such a thing! The petitie black one just drew me in! I love its baby-ness!

I love it!!! I think it looks perfect. I have a small obsession with black diamonds, so do you mind telling me where you got your band? I adore it! =)

ChellFish22: The wedding band itself? Or the e-ring? The E-ring we had custom made because of both of our wants, and largly because we wanted a unenhanced black diamond center (99% of black diamonds sold are enhanced, “heated” to make more black, still 110% diamond, and the color will never fade!) but the band was ironically our first purchase, We knew we were getting engaged, and FI wanted to see the black diamonds so we chose it first, (then continued shopping like a maniac!) the wedding band itself ironically enough is from Amazon! He bought it for $125 maybe if that much after shipping! I LOVE it, it stands out enough, and is beautiful, and very danty even on my size 5.5-6 finger (The black band is enchanced if that matters to you. It is stunning though, I couldnt be happier with it. It looks great next to my black diamond, which varies from a dark grey to a “wet” black depending on lighting since it is natural) The band is .30ctw I believe, the e-ring black diamond is either 2.69 or 2.79 cts

I think you made the right choice. It looks so much prettier and delicate with the black diamond band.

Thin bands are so pretty! I also love gaps between rings. So I love your peitte black diamond band. Plus it matches to well with the same stones.
I just added a thin rose gold band to my set and I love it!

My wedding set won’t sit flush either, and I much prefer it. I think it’s a more elegant look and gives you the option of wearing your wedding band solo later (which I’ve noticed a lot of my married friends do).
