Help!  I just found out my stepmother is planning a surprise (well, not so much anymore) shower for me!  I'm happy but I know I'm going to hear it from my mom, my aunt, and my grandmother who were planning to throw me a shower as well.

    What do I do?!

Don't stress it too much. People are going to do what they want for you no matter what. Just try and enjoy!...hmmm i think I should start taking my own advice and also stop stressing over everything...lol

I don't know that you have to do anything, except attend both showers.  Lots of brides have 2-3 showers so there's no biggie, as long as they aren't on the same day!

Do I still act "surprised?" What do I wear? I feel like if I wear a dress, it obvious that I knew ahead of time!

Look nice, but not "party-nice"....wear something you wouldn't mind having a lot of people taking pictures of you in!  But don't be too obviously dressed up!  Ok, that's hard...hmmm...

Oh!  I agree with heathaah.  I'd wear a nice shirt and pants.  You can always say you were coming from or going somewhere that you had to dress up for.

How did you find out? If possible I would still act surprised.  Unless they know that you know and then its kinda silly.  They can still keep all the details a surprise.

I don't think your mom etc can say anything to you about this.  She decided to throw a shower and you had no input.

@ caszos:  My grandmother (dad's mom) and her sisters spilled the beans by mistake! They're hilarious-my grandmother slipped and her one sister tried to cover it up by pretending she didn't know what my grandmother was talking about, while the other one one says "What do you mean you don't know?!"  They're like the the female three stooges!

@PrncssDva:  I'm normally a dress and heels type, especially if I knew it was my shower!

@H & Jennifer:  It's on a Saturday at 11 am and I normally work Saturdays as a waitress...so I don't know how they're going to get me out of that one without thinking that I'd be suspicious!  I certainly wouldn't show up in my work clothes!

I say just act suprise and wear a "snappy casual" outfit...like a pretty top and nicer pants? or maybe even super dark jeans with heels or black skinny jeans that are a bit more dressy?

and I agree with @heathaah, invest in some pretty thank you notes! :)

You could also just *happen* to have a spare outfit in your car & change into it :)

I think maybe those three ladies should keep it a secret that you know and you can still act surprised!

Don't worry at all. A lot of people will want to throw showers for you and celebrate. All of your friends and family will be happy that there is so much love for you. I wouldn't worry about multiple family members wanting to throw showers.

I have a few too many Aunts trying to plan showers for me as well. Fortunately, most of them have been asking my Mom so she is working with them to pull some of them together to coordinate single showers rather than a million with the same guest lists!

I am worried on the surprise front as I have only actually been surprised twice in my entire life. I have faked surprise millions of times but I tend to figure things out and am worried that I will catch on to surprise showers!
