Congrats!! It must be a great feeling! I have been looking for almost 2 years :( I'm hoping things will get better. Glad you get to splurge on little wedding perks now! :)
@justeen - best of luck to you!! I started looking back when the economy started to get bad, before I was let go - and it took me over a year. I was a lawyer with one of the largest law firms in the nation, graduated from a top-tier law school - and I only had 5 interviews in that year's time. The economy is just beyond awful, and I feel so lucky to have gotten this new position.
@PeytonL79: aww congrats! i can't believe how your year this year mirrored mine last year! i was laid off from my employer in late april, and got my current job offer just about a year ago, and my first day was the day after labor day! :P
@PeytonL79: Yay! Congrats!!! It's so hard for anybody jobhunting right now. They have cut my hours at work and this month I won't even have made enough to cover my rent alone, not including phone, groceries, and everything else. I've been looking seriously for about 6 months now and only had one interview that didn't work out. :/

Hi, Bees! I haven't posted in a while (have kind of been in a funk since I was let go in April by my employer of almost 9 years). Anywho - it's been a long job search this summer, but I just accepted a new job offer today!! I am so excited!! I start the day after Labor Day, so I have the rest of the summer to relax and enjoy my husband and daughter.
This also means that I can finally afford to get my wedding photos printed out and put in all of the frames that are collecting dust. :-) And that's something to celebrate too!
