I’m so excited- I had an interview on Friday and they emailed me an offer an hour later! It’s a pretty small company, and when I was there for my interview everyone was wearing jeans and working on Macbook Air laptops (yay, I hate PCs!). Since I have accepted the offer my future colleagues have been sending me personal messages welcoming me! It seems like it’s going to be an awesome environment in which to work and grow.
The best part-
It amounts to nearly a 50% raise!!! Finally, my master’s degree is going to pay off!
Just wanted to share some of my happy Monday morning vibes!

congratulations! Please send me some of your job vibes. I quit a job (that I loved) to follow my love (haha, FI) halfway across the country (he got a promotion and a 60% raise, and the promotion will career-wise be a GREAT move for us). So now I’m job hunting and it sucksssssss.

@StL.Ashley: Oh I absolutely will try to send some vibes your way. I have been looking for a while so I know how stressful and exhausting the job hunt is!
I’m sure it will happen for you soon!

@ChicFoodist: Yeah, I agree. I had two interviews that were BRUTAL (interrogations, basically). I knew I was qualified and I never even got a “sorry, we aren’t moving forward with you” email. Both of them were out of state and I had to take the day off and travel, too.
I felt excited and optimistic when I got that offer, but also just an overwhelming sense of relief that I wouldn’t have to search and write cover letters and interview anymore.
