I got an unusual shaped engagement ring, what kind of band to go with it?

Do you mind having a contour band?  If you don’t then I would get one to custom fit around either one or both sides and have the same size diamonds as the ones in your ering.

Your ring is beautiful by the way!

@raindancer:  I’m somewhat having the same issue. I found a seller on Etsy who makes a couple different wide, sparkly wedding bands that have undulating edges, which is probably what I’ll go with since my ring is an irregular shape too. I don’t know if this is your style, but this is one I’ve been eyeing, from Kristin Coffin on Etsy:

Do you mind gaps?  I think it could look great with a thin band and don’t think you’d have much of a gap.  If you hate gaps, maybe get a curved enhancer and a straight band too so you can play around with it 🙂

Love your e-ring!!

@raindancer:  Thank you! The stone is a moissanite– I love it because of the way it reflects all the colors of the rainbow pretty dramatically.

The band I like is the only one I’ve found that I like and that would complement my e-ring without looking weird.

What if you were to try a single medium-width band with your ring? I have seen such bands that are curved, but in a way that looks natural so they could be worn alone if desired. Here’s a link to one (from the jeweler who made my e-ring, actually): http://www.carlacarusojewelry.com/medium_undulating_wedding_band

It does sound like you want some sparkly stones though, so I don’t know if you’ll like that.

Kristin Coffin, the Etsy seller I mentioned, does do custom work and a number of her rings have small, sparkly stones in them, so you may want to investigate her work.

@Billsgirl:  Thank you!! Me too– though I think I’m going to have the jeweler make me one that’s a little narrower, with 5 stones rather than 7. Isn’t it beautiful?!

@Creiddylad:  It is ….I’ve always loved that style! What is it made of?

I have an unusually shaped ring and had a custom wedding band made for $400. It was impossible to find one that fit it.
