Congrats! I'm not in grad school yet, so no tips, but just wanted to say good job!! :)
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Congrats!!!! How exciting :)
Congratulations! My tip is to always remember to take time for yourself and stay healthy--grad school can very quickly suck up all of your time if you let it, so remember to carve out fun time for yourself and make it sacrosanct! Enjoy it!
Congrats!! Tips I've learned doing my PhD and Masters.
1- stay on top of your readings
2- ask questions
3- keep healthy habits (working out and eating healthy)
Good advice and THANK YOU EVERYONE for all the congrats!! I love the hive, it's filled with warm fuzzies :)
Thats awesome!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I have no advice, but just wanted say that I'm super happy for you and good luck with it!!
First off: GRE Stinks. Second off: CONGRATULATIONS!!! Speaking as someone who's finishing grad school... the end will come, I swear!
CONGRATS! What an accomplishment! I am not a grad student but might one day..i just graduated with my BS. Now get to work....hehe
Congratulations!!! Trust me when I say that you have to take time to relax and do something fun from time to time, if not every week or every day! You'll go crazy if you're all about school. Other than that, doing the reading/homework BEFORE class is really helpful. :) It's way too easy to slide, but it really does make a difference. Congratulations again, and good luck!
Congrats! Like everyone else said -- read the readings before class, stay on top of whats due when, and take some time to relax. Things can get crazy and suck you in! Make sure you make some time for yourself! By the way, I didn't need to take the GRE for my masters but I will this summer for my Ph.D. ... whats considered a good score?? Congrats again!
Congratulations!!
I don't know how much this helps, but the biggest things I've learned in Grad school is to SHOW UP! Even if you can't do the readings, just showing up can help you keep on top of your classes. Good luck!
Woo-hoo!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
So proud of you!! ;]
Thank you everyone!!! Much love!!
@Mimi - the top score is an 800 on each section, so for instance, my program wanted at least a 550 out of 800. I came close on the verbal section but my math score.. well.. let's just say it was embarassing. haah!

Hi Bees!
I'm super excited because I just got my acceptance letter for the Master's in Media Studies at Cal State Northridge!! I am so relieved because I really bombed the GREs and I thought that would break my chance. I see the light at the end of the tunnel... I'm not stuck making pitiful money in my dark, dreary corporate cubicle forever!! :o) (I want to teach - and yes I know it won't pay beauxcoup bux, but it will be something I love and the pay will be better than what I make now!) Any grad bees wanna share some helpful tips??
xoxo
