- Wedding: March 2011
So, I have been married for three days and what no one told me between the mess of “Don’t get married! You are too young” (I am 24), and “After six years finally!” is that marriage is great! It is nice to know that I have a husband and I am proud of him. I love being married to him however one thing is kind of bugging me…
My husband and I went to a resturant during our honeymoon at Disneyland and he told me to find a table while he ordered our food. So, I found one and he went to get the food. Later on we went to the same place to get lunch and the woman said “Oh, you two are newleyweds? My condolences. It is good that you are making her carry her own plate” I was kind of confused but laughed it off and said thanks. We had these Disney pins that said “Just married” so the people there were congradulating us, it was pretty cool.
So, he and I were sitting together and I asked him what was that about. He said that when he went to the same cashier this morning to pay for breakfast, the cashier asked him why he was carrying two trays. She said that I ought to carry my own and he told her that I was presently finding a table for them. (By the way, after I did and saw him coming with the trays, I got mine and our drinks.) So, she starts this tirade to him about how marriage doesn’t work and blah blah blah. I understand that some people have a certain thing against marriage and I totally respect that but seriously? Why would you go on like that to two people on their honeymoon? Especially since the so called “advice” wasn’t even asked for.
Am I out of line for thinking the cashier is just a bitter bitch?
