I only got a warning which is good but it was infuriating. First of all the city in which I live in now is about thirty minutes away from where my childhood home was. My brother called me at work and asked me to go by my parents house and lock the door because no one could (they were all at work). Being the amazing daughter I am I decided to stop by and lock it for them and pick up some yummy Mexican food on my way home.
As I was driving through town I saw this crazy looking kid with a mohawk. I turned my head to the side and got distracted for a second. I know I swerved into the other lane a little but I didn’t swerve that bad. About 200 hundred feet later I saw the cop and knew I would have to watch myself because the cops in this town are MEAN. I’ve known so many people to get pulled over for random reasons and even I have been personally tailgated by a cop there just so I would speed up and he could pull me over.
Anyways, he flips a U-turn and I thought for a second that maybe it was because my car has been loud lately (turns out it’s basically a $500 repair but not loud enough to go over the illegal limit) but then he gruffly asks “may i ask you what happened back there!?” Obviously I don’t know why the hell he pulled me over at this point so I politely tell him that I’m actually completely unaware of what I did. Then he was like is this your car?!?! I just gave you the license and the insurance info and it says on there.
I mean, I’ve seen nice cops before, but this guy had no reason to be mean to me. I said nothing but no sir, yes sir, etc. Overall it was just horrible. I know I’m probably being pathetic but I just get so easily hurt when superiors feel the need to correct me. And right now I do NOT have the extra money to pay for a ticket or increased insurance rates because of him.

i hate hate hate mean cops who feel like they have a right to be mean because you did something “wrong.” sounds to me like you didn’t even perform a moving violation. jeez. he must have been having a bad day.

Mean cops (and people) suck. I’m glad you just got a warning, though.

@pamplemousse:you’re telling me. It was definitely not worth pulling a U-turn to pull me over for. He was trying to claim that I was halfway into the oncoming drivers lane and that the driver in front of him had to pull over to the side to prevent an accident which is bull because I don’t remember that happening at all!!

i got pulled over once and had a cop accuse me of adultrey! he told me i had to go “straight home” i wasn’t going anywhere, and i shouldn’t be going to “some other guys room” while my husband was at work! it INFURIATED me! (i told him my husband was at work) he didn’t even KNOW me, what makes him think he could pass that kind of judgemnet on me??? i’m sorry he was mean to you though. *hugs* for you, and at least you didn’t get a ticket, so that’s a good thing! *hugs* again! i hate cops who thnk they’re above the law!

I call him (flipper) asshole cop that has pulled me over twice! ( flipping u-turn both times)
first time no speeding, no reason to flip a u-turn behind me other than my city being a deadzone after 11pm.
“Flipper” gets behind me,… Mind u my reg. Is exp. so of corse NOW he has his reason,…..my question is,…what kind of profiling is “flipper” doing and how does he now get to say,” i pulled you over becouse of exp reg”?? How the helll did you see my tags from an opposite direction “flipper”?????? I see y music tells me to jus “hitha gas” on em!!

This thread is six years old…
But anyway, cops are just doing their jobs. Sometimes they are wrong pulling people over but more often than not, they are right. I appreciate their efforts in keeping imparied/illegal drivers off the road.
