Thank you, I am extremely grateful & excited about this new opportunity!
Woot, congratulations! And especially hurrah for Mon-Fri with benefits! I totally thought I bombed my second interview at the company I now work for, too.

It's official, I'm joining the work force again after being a SAHM for over 2 years. I started looking around 4 months ago, and let me tell you, it was very depressing. I put in applications everywhere, mostly for retail, but even Walmart & McDonald's didn't want me. At that time I just wanted something part-time and easy for a little extra spending money. I even signed up with a staffing agency who didn't tell me until after orientation (and after I had spent $50 in steel-toed shoes and new work pants) that they didn't have anything available for my desired shift.
Then I friend someone on FB who I knew back in high school, and she notices I'm looking for a job. She tells me about a position with the company she works for, and the rest is history! After taking a couple challenging computer tests, doing well in an interview (I really thought I bombed it, lol), and waiting impatiently for background check results to come in, I am now a customer service representative for a well-known medicare corporation. It pays well, has benefits, and is only Mon-Fri (something I never would have found in retail). Training starts in a few weeks, so now I have to go shopping for some work clothes/shoes!
Thanks to you all who sent me well wishes, prayers, and words of encouragement! Now with this extra income coming in, my fiance and I can actually start planning our wedding celebration. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!
