Very pretty but I could never ever wear something like that. I would be afraid of breaking it, losing it, or being mugged.
I so agree with A MissAsB.. its a pretty ring.. but i would be so afraid to touch or do anything with it.. plus if i buy it now no one would EVER believe me that its real.. so that would be a waste of money.. i would rather buy a 20K ring and put the rest on my house.. hehe.. ( notice how i got greedy there with 20K..lol)
I used to work in sales for a fine jewelry/diamond wholesaler. I'd sit at my desk every day wearing no less than $200,000 worth of diamonds at a time (and plenty more spread out on my desk) while chatting on the phone with the retailers: rings, bracelets, loose stones...sometimes I'd even grab the tiara. After the Grammy's my first yr there, I got to prance around the office in the world's most expensive shoes (at least at the time), the Stuart Weitzman $2mil slippers Alison Krauss wore - HOTTTT!!

FMIL has a 5+ carat heart-shaped diamond that she's let me try on occasionally and it's just....dreamy.

Wow!! That's a gorgeous (albeit expensive!!!) ring!! I would feel so awful if something happened to that ring!! Knowing me, I'd probably lose it somewhere.
Yowsers...I wonder how many carats that is...
Sometimes though (this is just my opinion) I feel like once a diamond gets to a certain size it really starts looking fake...

But seriously, it's stunning! The saleslady sounds super sweet, though. I am the kind of person who would remember her kindness and make an extra effort to purchase the watch from her if it is on commission.
@amaryllis- EXACTLY! She made such an impression on me I will buy from her when I go get the watch! I am totally thankful to her for letting me try this ring on..

So I was at a local jewelers today looking at the watch my SO has been drooling over and the watch I also promised him if he got me an e-ring I would get for him and while talking to the lady there (who was amazing might I add) we got into the convo about my soon to be ring. I told her I have had a HUGE fascination for along time with pear shaped diamonds and she told me to hold on for a moment. She came back out with a blue bag and told me since she remembered how it was right before she got engaged.. she wanted me to have a girl moment and to try on this ring. Before she showed it to me I had to promise her (LOL!!) that I wouldnt fall in love with this ring! I told her ok cause I had already picked mine out (Little did I know I would fall in love with it though lol). So she pulled it out and told me to try it on. She wouldnt give me an exact figure but said it was worth over 100K!!!! While she had her head turned I snuck a pic with my cell! Check it out!
