so bee’s last night i had a dream about my wedding (which is two yrs away) and i had a emerald green, purple and Navy theme. It was beautiful. when i woke up i didnt really think anything about it until i went to get pizza for dinner and there is a flower shop next to the pizza place and there was an arangement in those colors. I stopped and stared at it for a few minutes and decided that those colors are perfect. But do those colors work for a jan. wedding? i thought that they did. When i got home i tried looking up wedding with these colors and what i found was alot of Peacock themed weddings, which i think is really pretty but th ones that i saw were like peacock explosion. How can i incorperate the feather, without it being the entire theme…I like the idea of th fathers in the BM hair, but if that is the only place i add it will it look out of place?
If any of you have any other seggestions i would greatly appreciate them. It would also be wonderful if you happen to run across any weddings with these colors, to share the pics that you find…at this point it is all just an idea very far from my original colors (charcoal gray and teal).

I think that would be really pretty! And I think you can work the feathers in in very subtle ways. I like the idea of putting them in the BMs’ hair. What if you also added them in with some flowers in the centerpieces?

I think that is a beautiful combination especially since you have some time to plan all the small details. Keep in mind that your venue, time of day, and formality also have influence on your color scheme. With those rich of colors, I would have an evening wedding in a formal venue. I can’t wait to see what pictures you share with us!!!

Those would be beautiful colors for a january wedding 🙂 And it would not be odd at all to have feathers in just 1 or 2 places.
I also just recently decided to change my wedding colors, on a total whim. (From deep blue and purple, to lavender and baby blue) If you haven’t bought any stuff for the wedding yet you can totally change your mind.

Hi there! I’m a 2013 bride, too! 🙂
I love the colors you had a dream of! It sounds heavenly. Of course, your original colors are very elegant as well. My fiance and I are doing each of our favorite colors (navy blue and pistachio green). We are incorporating peacock feathers into our wedding by having the groomsmen wear boutineers made of peacock feathers. Our bridesmaids might have these feathers tied to green the bow on their (baby’s breath) bouquets somehow. We’re still brainstorming ideas. We don’t want to go crazy with the feathers because it can be easily overdone (in my opinion).
If you ask me, go with the colors that you both love! 😉 You can never go wrong with that. Happy planning and best wishes to all of you!
