honestly I'm not loving either...the 2nd one is too busy for me. But I would get what YOU love and what YOU feel beautiful in!
If I had to choose between the two i would say the first. But honestly you need to wear the one that makes you feel great.
eek sorry I just voted for the first one because I like that style more but I notice the second one (the bright white one) is more slimming because of where the sash is and you look much more comfortable in it. I like the top part of it but I am not really a fan of the skirt part. I think a similar dress with a more traditional skirt part would be the most flattering
I voted the more traditional because the bottom of the other is really busy at the bottom and just doesn't flow right, it's like to different styles of dresses blended (my opinion). I think the other one is much prettier.
I actually prefer the first one on you. I also think the champaign looks better with you skin-tone than stark white. Are you asking because now you are having doubts about the new dress too?
i love the bottom one waaayy better. i think the dresses that split apart in front look like maternity dresses!!! no offense to anyone, but im not a super skinny girl , id say im medium and they just looked and reminded me of maternity weddign dresses
I like the first one on you...maybe b/c you have the complete look on....the second dress is just too busy....but it does have more of the "WoW" factor. The first is lil bit more traditional and the 2nd is more fun.... Wear what makes you feel comfortable...
I'm a two dress bride and I'm actually wearing one to the church ceremony and the other to my reception
I am considering wearing the first one to the ceremony and the second one to the reception. I am a much more fun, frilly, dramatic and "busy" lol kind of girl which is why I went back and bought dress number two. My problem is that dress #1 I need to lose like 10 lbs and dress number 2 I need to gain like 5 lbs or have it altered, which I'm not going to gain any weight! I felt way more comfortable in dress 2 the white one and I was totally happy in it, now you guys have me thinking!
@soontobemrskeen: if YOU like the white dress and feel more comfortable in it (magic words, in my book) then go for it!
Yes, a lot more people (strangers) on this message board prefer the first one and I bet if you asked most of America, they'd prefer the first one too simply because it's more traditional and the second one is a little more niche. But your style may not match everyone else's and that's okay.
And honestly, the second dress DOES appear to fit you better. So go with what fits and flatters your body and who you are. WE'RE not wearing the dress, after all.
I agree that the 2nd one fits you better. The first one looks like it just needs a little something more. I prefer the unique look of the 2nd, and you look happier in it.
Let me tell you... I LOOVE THAT SECOND ONE YOU! It has that MAJOR POP WOW FACTOR!!! It looks like a high end couture gown!
I choose the second one, although I'm not a huge fan of the very bottom. You look so much more confident in it. I think the first one does not flatter your youth. But you'll look great in either one!
I love the second one on you! You look happier and more at ease. Which honestly is how I want to feel on my weding day. :-) Go with your gut!
The first one is beautiful. The skirt of the second is a mess IMO. Maybe it would look better steamed?
@mandalee0624 - yes the skirt needs some serious steaming action. I think it will help the skirt to have more of a clean look once its done.
Thanks everyone for your comments, it really helps me to feel better. I love the pleated chiffon on the bottom of the skirt and its what mad me fall in love with it.
I like the second one better too. If you are, as you said, a frilly / busy type, then go for that! I am the kind of person who either does NOTHING, or does something 200%. I am known for going all out and being a bit "over the top", just not every day.. so for me, when I consider things like my dress, petticoat size, jewelry, etc., concerns about "over the top" and "too much" are less of a concern. :)
The way I see it, I'm not going to spend any time at all in my life in anything as formal as a wedding gown, so I want it to be WOW. If I had a life ahead of me that included gala events and fancy banquets I might see it differently. ;)
I like the first dress better. The second looks like the skirt shrank and now the under-layers are showing. I wish the bottom was just all one or the other.
