i hate level 2, but i saw a few results.. grin and bear it because.. level three is a killer!!
I just started level 2 as well, I have wanted to cry a few times...but I am going to try and stick it out...I need to lose weight and lose it fast...
Level two is horrible at first, but it gets better. I did level 3 once and almost died. I'm scared to try it again, haha
I'm a bad Shredder. I've never done anything past Level One. I also change it up so much (workout wise) that I've never done ten days in a row on Level One. Maybe some day I should just branch out and do Level 2. Hmmm...
I just started Level 1 last night. Now I'm scared to move on to level 2!! Has anyone seen any results yet?
I HATE level 2! I especially hate the triangle arm lift things when you're squatting. I'm also not a fan of anything in the plank position (like the plank jumping jacks ... hate them!).
Thank god it's only 20 mins!
Ohhhh - yeah, level 2 SUCKED. Level 3 is pretty hard too, but not a lot of planks and stuff.
I say stick with it - pushing yourself will only make you stronger!
The plank/push-ups are a killer, but the more you do it the easier it gets. I hate those jump body twist moves!
I never make it past level 1 myself... I did get the SO to join the fun the other night :) Oww my thighs.
My thighs hurt a bit today. I'll give it another go tomorrow. I just loved Level 1 so much, I hate hating level 2 if that makes sense, LOL! I want to be excited to do it like I was with Level 1!!! I'll push through it for a few more days and if I still hate it I think I'll move up to Level 3 and just deal with it. I've gotten awesome results so far though from Level 1. I'm down to a size 8 from a 10 :)
First of all - good for you for losing a size! What is your schedule for it like? Every day or like 5 days a week? Do you throw in some other workouts too? I have it and really need to step it up and do it more.
I think you should stick with Level 2. Yes - it sucks. BUT think of how much of an improvement you will see in your upper body strength if you keep at it! Then it won't be so bad...you can totally get through Level 2 successfully! Don't let it beat you!
I'm a seasoned 30-day shredder (ive been doing in 2-3 times a week for 6 months) and I definelty think level 2 is the hardest. i think there are too many exericeses in the plank position, she should have spread them out more.
Also, i dont think 30-day shred really works for me. First off, its nearly impossible for me to do it everyday. My muscles need time to recover, and so many of the exercises are so hard on the knees, I end up injurying myself. I've never done it more than 7 days in a row.
Second, i dont think its long enough and I dont burn enough calories. I haven't seen a single visible sign of improvement. Sure, i can do all the levels easily now, but I haven't lost a single inch or pound. Nor do i look more muscular, fit, or trimmer. I look exactly the same as when i started.
The only thing that works for me is running 30-40 mins about 3-4x a week.
@dance: Thanks! I'm really happy with the results! I'm definitely not very hard core about it. I try to do it every day during the week, and I typically skip weekends (hard to do with my 4 year old stepson being here every other weekend). The last couple weeks have been really hectic and I've probably only done it twice, oops! Next week I'll be better!!! FI and I try to go for walks when we can or out for the odd canoe ride to burn a few extra calories. I've also changed what I eat for breakfast. I do fruit, yogurt and water rather than toast and jam or whatever. Sometimes I'll have a bowl of cereal with skim milk. I think that's made a big difference as well!
@TwinkleToesJMU: Sorry you haven't had good results with The Shred. There are lots of girls on here (like me) who have had great success! It's good you found something else that works for you though!
I just did 9 straight days on level 1 and am about to start level 2 tomorrow morning ... now I'm scared! I have never done this DVD before tho, so I am determined to at least stick it out for the 30 days.
Nevermind ... Just did level 2 for the 2nd day but I am some chest congestion - it was miserable! I couldn't do half of the moves! I blame the congestion and my tiredness, but it was definitely harder than the first day I did it.
I found Level 2 to be the hardest of the three. You'll get through it, it sucks but it gets results. You can do it!!!

Ummmm I hate level 2. It's all stuff in a plank/push-up position and I bloody hate push ups!!!! I have very little upper body strength. I'm really hating level 2. Anyone else? I'm thinking I'm either going to skip and go on to level 3 or go back to level 1.
