    @oliviajuice:  I voted “more wine please” because I’m drinking wine as we speak. It was meant to be.

    I cant imagine who doesnt hate car problems. My husband would handle most of it but he’s deployed half the time so I have to.

    I don’t think anyone likes car problems! Luckily for me, DH knows a lot about cars so he is usually able to fix whatever problems I have.

    @oliviajuice:  I’ve gotta admit that I’m pretty lucky. We save soooo much on car repairs. I world end up paying for so many unnecessary things if I had to figure it out by myself.

    They definitely annoy me.  I don’t know how to fix ANYTHING on a car except things like filling the gas, filling the washer fluid, and checking the oil.  I had a headlight out and I freaked out.  My husband was like, meet me at Pep Boys….and it was all over in like five minutes.

    My husband’s dad collects old cars, so he built this huge garage with a lift and everything.  My husband knows how to fix cars, so he does things like…replace my brake pads, fix the “brushing” (it might be called bushing) in my car, rotate my tires, et cetera et cetera.  He’s saved me hundreds of dollars in the past few years.

    That being said…I do know when something is wrong with my car.  I noticed that the brakes were f-ed up, and I know when to get my oil changed, et cetera.

    Ugh I freaking HATE car issues. And of course the repair places around here treat me like an idiot because I’m a woman. They act totally different when DH comes with, and he doesn’t know ANYTHING about cars! Like seriously, nothing. I had to call Walmart during my hair appointment to have them install a new battery in his car because he was having a meltdown about it, lmao. Oh, and he started a fire trying to jump his car off mine once. haha

    @oliviajuice:  Me! Me! Pick Me!!!

    Except, my Dad is totally a car guy so Iknow a little about cars… But, I am not brave enough to fix anything on my car. It’s 20 years old and I’m just trying to keep it running until I can afford a new one 🙁

    Starting my car goes something like this: Pound the brake so my car will stop on the first try when it’s cold, pray it starts, start it (it dies a couple times), starts successfully, check my power steering fluid because it’s leaking and the car place wont fix it because my engine has old oil on it and they “can’t see anything.” I hate my car and car issues.

    @oliviajuice:  I’ve found its helpful to do your research… Once the mechanics realize you can somewhat argue with them (or at least know what parts cost), they usually back down a little.

    Also, my dad told me that a good brake job should only cost $300- $400 max. Brake pads cost anywhere from like $30-50 depending on whether you need just the front or back (back brakes are thicker so they cost more). You should go through about 2 sets of front brakes before your back ones need done and you shouldn’t need your rotors done everytime you have the pads changed or your calipers or any of the other extras. Hopefully that will help you when you call to get your brakes done! My dad used to always do mine for me when I lived in the same state and it was super easy.

    Shoulda read the needing brakes done thing more carefully! But, hopefully that info helps you!
