We used LED rope lights in our bathroom & bedroom to light the coffered ceilings.
The colour we bought is "soft white" to distinguish from just "white", which has that blue-light cast.
It definitely has the candle-like or natural look, rather than the harsh LED look. See if you can buy soft white LED's individually?
@purplemoon: I had a similar problem. This might sound like a pain, but I am getting small 30light strings of Christmas lights that are battery operated, and I tried them folded to fit in the lantern and it looks actually really nice and garden like...I am not gng to like the idea of worrying about the batteries dying LOL, but they say they will last a long enough time. I am going to have about 10-15 lantern and they look good so far!

Hi bees,
I just purchased 150 white LED's and when I tested it out in my lantern it turned the lantern blue. I know it's a stupid thing to worry about but I just don't like the loook of it. Has anybody used the amber colored LED's? Pics please! I want that soft candle lit look....
