So as some may already know , me and mr got technically married by a jop at city hall ..and we were going to do the whole greek wedding shabang june 5 of next yr .well now He wants to change the date , he doesn't think we'd have enough by the time the wedding comes . I understand his concern to a point . I deal with the finances though , he doesn't  and i have faith that we can do it. His uncle said that whatever was the balance of the wedding , he would pay for and we could pay him back,Whenever we can,  which sounds great to me. I told him when we got married by jop that i wante to get married on this date , we told everyone , and we already sent out our save the dates ..i know that if i wanted to , i could still move the date to Later in the yr,..BUT i don't want to. We put money down on a hall..and i want to keep the date to it. Now i know we can change this , but again I don't want to . He has No faith on the fact that we can do this and he's not accepting of my suggestion to just have faith. What do i do ? I don't know what to say anymore , this has been an endless battle..so Any suggestions would help :)

Well you said that you handle the finances. If you've worked out the budget for the costs of the wedding, and how much you are going to save each month until the wedding, I'd show your husband the numbers to prove you can do it. So maybe he needs facts, not faith.

I agree with jacui. Just work out a budget, and show him how much you guys will be able to save by the time the wedding comes around. It's much easier to see when it's all laid out in front of you.
