Oh man it didn't happen with my target registry, but I had spent hours on my crate&barrel one and when I went to show FI what I had picked it was ALL gone! I was so mad.
@Jenny....I'd be sooo upset! We spent 3 hours registering yesterday - I had to keep him happy w/ beer and wings but it was fun!
Yes, it has been happening to my registry online for a while. I have a breadbox that keeps reappearing.
But I've learned a few things since we registered way early and I've been figuring out for about 8 months.
1. Things that you scan in the store may be unavailable or on clearance online, so they show up different prices and without photos or descriptions.
2. Things you add online may only be available online, so on the store print out they show up funny or on clearance.
3. If you scan barcodes on the shelf, they change. I got pacifiers instead of a Garmin at one point. Big difference.
4. Things change in the online view and will eventually look somewhat normal again. The store print out is usually more accurate with photos and prices.
5. Sometimes if you leave an item on there, it will fix back to what you intended to register for, like my breadbox has 3 times.
6. Things that say unavailable tend to still show up on the store print out anyway, so don't delete it.
It seems kinda like a hassel, but I think it's been ok. And Target has great products in great price ranges.
Wow, that sounds so frustrating! So would you not suggest registering at Target? We were planning on only registering there!
I have a pack of baby onesies that keep reappearing I do have kids....but I didnt register for them and i cant remove them....I would love if I could at least change the size HAHA
That stinks big time! I have heard lots of horror stories about Target registries, but so far ours has been fine. Hopefully it will stay that way. So sorry you are having such a crummy time with yours :(
MOst of our stuff came from BB&B - I registered for some stuff (cleaning supplies and some bath accesories) at Target because I wanted some inexpensive items that my guests could chose from. I just hope its different when people go into the store to print out the registry.
Same thing happened to me...I figured it out though..as the post above says, it because of the on-line & in-store availability. print your registry out at the store, it should be accurate...mine was
yea my sister had the same problem. Most things didn't even know a picture. She had to re-do the registry when it came closer to the wedding.
@KaitnJust - Haha! My FI and I had the same thing. Two onesies for a 6-9 month old girl (but we don't have any kids)! Don't know how those got on there!! We couldn't delete them online but if you go to the kiosk at the store, it deleted just fine.
I'm sorry to hear that. Must be so frustrating!
I've heard so many bad things about the Target registry, that you might consider just shutting it down if possible. If they can't get even get this part right... I've heard about baby items showing up without notice, horrible return policies, etc.
I havent had any problems online but when my guest went to the store they couldnt find my name in the system. But hopefully it was a one time only type of thing.
I keep hearing this about Target! I actually don't think that I have ever heard something positive about registering there aside from the actual products they have. I've also had bad experiences shopping off registries from Target as a guest.

Soooo registered at Target yesterday (among BB&B and Macy's) but I went online today to add some stuff to my Target registry and its all jacked up online!! There is no pictures, some stuff doesn't have prices, there stuff missing that I registered for (a trash barrel and shower hooks, but still!), Stuff that says it is no longer available, but has not description of what it is, something from the kid section - I DON'T HAVE A CHILD!
WTF? Anyone else notice this?
