Okay so I think I am in need of some good moral support here! I was doing so well for my self and then……riiiiipppppppppp!
Here I was so proud, not more than 8 weeks ago, that I had lost 22 pounds! Yippee for me right? Wrong… Two months later and I have completely yo-yo’d back to my original size, if not heavier. The sad part is I don’t know how it happened!? Did I get too caught up in my planning? Too cocky about the weight loss? Stess??
The gravity of my situation sank in last night when I went to throw on a favourite pair of jeans. I wiggled, jiggled, twisted and turned and then…. rrrriiiiiiipppppppp right down the inside seam! Oh no!
So here I am currently in this predicament. I have 4 months to loose the pounds before my final fitting on my gown. As it stands right now I cannot even get the zipper up and originally it was supposed to be taken in. So here is my confessional…I hope it works to make me get on track. I can no longer deny the need for me to lay down those nachos, chocolate bars, and whatever other sugary goodness that calls my name. Maybe if I post this it will be extra motivation to shed some pounds.

Original Weight: 130 lbs (when FI proposed)
Target Weight: 135 lbs
Current Weight: 155-160 lbs (which is a lot for me because I’m uncomfortable)
Thank you in advance for your support. I have to do this!! I shall post an update in one month’s time and I think that alone will propel me forward 🙂

Hey! You should join us on the Weight Watchers weekly weigh-in thread. We do it on Fridays. That helps me stay focused throughout the week. Also, I’m not sure what your eating patterns are, but I drink unsweetened juice in the mornings instead of sodas, and it’s helped so much! I’ll go ahead and jump in:
Original weight: 177
Target weight: 150
Current weight: 169 (woot!)

I lost about 10 lbs since last year which is a decent amount for me since I am small framed and 5’3″. I stay away from sodas and processed food and watch my portion sizes. If you do that and add some work outs you should see results in no time, good luck!

Can I be your buddy? Your stats are exactly the same as mine. Exactly 4 mos and down to 135 from 160.
Admittedly, and I don’t mean for this to condemn us both, 25 pounds in 4 mos is not for the faint at heart (averaging more than 1 pound per week), so I’m totally over the moon if I lost 15-20. But I’m gonna give it my darndest because I can do it!

@jo.lee: Thanks so much I think I will join that thread! I also appreciate the support in not being afraid to share your weight..it’s nice to know others are in the same boat.
I can’t believe my pants ripped though…it’s almost too funny to be upset about! (almost..) lol.

@JennyW1: I know people think I’m crazy, but it must and it WILL be done! I think you and I can check in with each other if you want? I’m trying to cut back on the calories starting now, but I won’t have a gym membership until Nov. 1st so thats my official start date!

@mrs.peters.to.be: Definitely we can check in–perhaps it might be easier to check in on the WW board that appears periodically that jo.lee was talking about? It totally helps to have a place to “log in” your successes and to talk about your trials and tribulations.

@mrs.peters.to.be: Don’t worry too much about the pants ripping, lol. I had a friend who was dancing at a fraternity once and she split her pants :). Besides, jeans rip all the time, even on your knees, and that’s certainly not because you’re too big for them! Hopefully we can all get healthier together :).

I’ve been going at this whole weightloss thing since June. At first I was KILLING myself (gym 6 days a week and crazy will power when it came to diet) and nothing was happening. We blame the old birth control for lack of results. Switched BC two months ago but haven’t been as dedicated to the diet/exercise BUT my pants are considerably more loose! I’m not big into weighing myself – I’m 5’8 and have an athletic build so a lot of the time I’ll be getting thinner but not “losing weight” since I gain muscle mass quickly.
Original size: Pants were getting a wee bit snug (size 6)
Now: Pants are kind of loose
Goal: I want to have to buy new pants because they’re so big, hahaha
Arch nemesis: Fall holiday food – I really enjoy making apple pie, lol.
Other arch nemesis: work – sometimes I’m just too tired to workout when I get home
And yay for support threads! I love the sense of accountability I get from workout buddies, now I’ll just have more people to ‘fess up to if I’m bad!

I’ll join! I’m 6 feet tall, so my weight (luckily) has a lot of space to spread out on. Unluckily for me, Mom and Dad both have trouble spots in their waist, so I do, too! I’ve been going to the gym with a friend a few times a week (I try to go at least 3 times a week, maybe 4 if I am lucky!). Have been doing this for a few weeks, and the scale doesn’t reflect weight loss, but there are areas that I am noticing slimming down a little (outer thighs especially!). I would ideally like to be where I was when FI and I met six years ago. Yes, I was younger, but I was also much more fit. Weight doesn’t matter so much to me as health and size (and since I am so tall, it takes A LOT of weight for me to even go down 1 dress size!)
Weight now: 185 lbs (size 10-12)
Goal: 160 lbs (size 8-10)
Current Weight: Still around 185 lbs, maybe a couple pounds less

I was soooo good and dropped several inches off my waist. And then my grandmother had a long, painful, prolonged death, and every carb in sight was fair game. My dress barely fit, and I have that ugly boobs-not-quite-fitting-in roll by my armpits in a lot of my pics. So mad at myself! Luckily, there are definitely pictures where you can’t see it, or where i’m positioned in a more flattering way, but I still hate that my gown was ever-so-snug. Good luck, and hang in there!!
