OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! I'm so thrilled for you!! You'll have to update us once you've started and tell us how you like the new job! I hope you've celebrated appropriately!! ;)
Congrats! It's so tough finding a job right now, you are lucky!
Thanks everyone!! I will deff update when I officially start.... It's an entry-level executive assistant type position, but it involves a lot of event planning -- which I LOVE -- so I'm very excited to get started!!
@thefuturemrsgibbs -- *sigh* I am still a waiting bee. We've been talking about getting married for about a year now. I'm hoping that me having found a full-time job will quell some money fears. Plus our 5 year anniversary is this summer so here's hoping....!

Hello hive!!
I know I've been MIA recently... but things have been so crazy. A few weeks ago I posted this: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/i-think-ive-got-the-job
Well since that time I had to go through two interviews -- one of which had me completely convinced that I wasn't going to get the job -- but on Thursday they offered me the position! Woo hoooo!! I am now (for the first time ever) a fully employed bee with benefits!! (well... almost.... I don't officially start for another 3 weeks) What a HUGE relief. With the cost of living in NYC and the fact that the grace period ends on my student loans in a few months, it's so great to not have to worry about where the money is coming from. It's not my dream position, but I really love the people that I work with and for me, it will give me the experience I need until I find something I really want in the next few years.
Now I am more impatient than ever for the mister to get down on one knee! He's been financially secure for a few years now while I was kind of floating around trying to figure things out. I'm hoping now that I've found something permanent we can move forward and start some wedding planning!! ;-)
