I posted this in the chat thread, but then it went to a "ghost page #7" and I was left all by myself so I'm moving this to its own post.

    2 hours ago:

I am at the airport in New Orleans and I am hiding in the restroom because I think I have a stalker. :/

I still have over two hours before I can check in for my flight and I've been here for 3 hours already.

I curled up on some seats in the lounge to get some sleep and this guy that I had walked past earlier ended up sitting right across from me and talking to me under his breath when he thought I was sleeping.

After a few hours of half sleeping and half staying aware of the stalker-man, I finally sat up and stretched in my seat and looked everywhere but at him. He tried to say "hey there sleepy head" and "good morning" but I pretended not to hear.

I just grabbed my bags and came to the restroom.

Now I'm afraid he'll be standing outside waiting for me to come out. :(

I'm hungry but the restaurants don't open for another 20 minutes. I can hang here at least until then, and then I'll dash into the nearest one. lol what a morning...ugghh

    1 hour ago:

I made a dash to the beignet shop right across from the restroom and I'm keeping a sharp eye out like a HAWK!

I saw him a few times and he is walking around (with a weird limp) and I feel like he's looking for me...Gah!

I'm going to sit in a corner hidden from view. But I lost sight of him, so I'm hoping I can stay out of his radar!

Since I can't check in yet, I still have my suitcase with me-- so I changed from a gray t-shirt to a purple 3/4 sleeved button down. And put on a hat that I had. All I need to do is put on my sunglasses! heh

Luckily for me, I had gone to the opposite side of the airport from my concourse to sleep since they had more comfortable seats. That's where he joined me. Little does he know, that my flight is on the opposite side of the airport. (It's not that big here from end to end.) Although, he does take to walking the whole thing, and last time I saw him he was walking towards the other end of the airport where my flight will be, and he hasn't come back this way yet. :/

Oh! Another thing: while I was "sleeping" he would sometimes get up and walk around, but if he saw me stir, he would rush back over to try to talk to me while I was "awake" but I would make sure that I was back "asleep" again before he made it back. Eewwww creepy guys. No bueno.

    Right now:

So right now, I'm still sitting at the beignet shop in the corner, against a wall, and I have about an hour still before I can even CHECK IN for my flight (meaning my actual flight is 4 hours AFTER I get checked in!) At least once I check in, I can go through security and be safe in a different concourse since I'm pretty positive (since he told me while I was sleeping) that he is flying with a different airline. :P

    So, bees!! Keep me company??

@Jazziberry: Yikes! Talk about super creepy.  Did you report him to security? I would.

Wow, that sounds awful. I don't know how the airport you're at is set up, but it's an airport, so there should be security all over the place. I'd look for a security desk that has a comfy chair nearby, tell the guard that there's a guy that's been bothering you, and then settle in there. I'm sure you'll have much more peace of mind having someone watch out for you. I know I would.

If he approaches you, just say I'm sorry, I'm not interested in chatting, I'm busy reading.

Good luck, I hope your flight goes well.

@DesireeAnne:  I agree!  I would definitely report him if you are feeling THAT intimidated by him.  Also, I wouldn't recommend hiding out in private or secluded places.  A stalker would more than likely bother you when you're alone or isolated.  Ask for help ASAP! Good Luck!

Get offline and out of the bathroom and GO REPORT HIM TO SECURITY. Seriously. He is probably a harmless wacko, but what if he's not? You have the right to get him away from you if he's making you uncomfortable. But we can't do anything because we're not there, so go find the people who CAN assist you!

Ok, I was sitting in a cafe where there were other people near by. I haven't seen him in about an hour or more, and I didn't see him on my way to the ticket counter.

I checked in for my flight and I'm in line to go through security.

If I felt more threatened by him, I certainly would have talked to a security officer, but since I feel I effectively evaded him, I think I'm all right. :)

Now, if he's on the other side of this security check-point, that's a different story and I will go to someone right away (but I doubt he's over here).

Thank you bees for being there for me. :)

Call me crazy, but if there is a creepy stalker person following women and making creepy remarks, I would feel it my responsibility to say something to someone who can handle the situation. I do not want unstable and potentially dangerous people wandering around at an airport of all places. They probably won't do anything to him, but they can keep an eye out for any suspicious behavior. Isn't that a better plan than him potentially following some other woman out to her car?

I completely agree. I will most likely explain what happened to me to security and describe him (he's pretty hard to miss with an accurate description) that way they can keep an eye out for him.

I just reported him to an airport "sheriff" on a segway. He zoomed away to "go check him out."

Wow that's crazy!  Why did you have to get to the airport so early?

@MissAsB: I work on a boat for 30 days and today was my crew change day to go home. The guys coming back to the boat all meet at our office in Baton Rouge at midnight to head to the boat wherever it might be (anywhere between Port Arthur, TX and Pittsburgh, PA). Since the boat just happened to be in Baton Rouge last night, I got off right away when they showed up and was dropped off at the airport at 1:40 in the morning. Our travel to go home is all set up by our company's office, so I was set up a non-stop flight to go home, but it just so happens it doesn't leave until 10:40am. :/

At least I'd rather wait for the flight than attempt to make the 9.5 hour drive home in a rental car after standing watch all night. I wouldn't have made it, I was so tired!

Ah no fun!  I wouldn't drive either.  That would probably be dangerous after having to stay up because of the creeper!
