I was looking at a balero wrap on etsy and said out loud "omg I'm in love".....FI knew I was talking about something wedding related so started guessing.... dress? no... face cover (lol!)? no.....  garter?  no....     tail?   TAIL?!  after a little interpretation, he was talking about a train HAHAHA  Just when I thought it couldn't get any cuter than "face cover"

But speaking of the balero - I found the link on an old post on here.  When I went to it doesn't appear that it's one of the items she still does...  wasn't listed as available.  I haven't ordered anything from etsy before, so not sure how that works.  I emailed the seller, so hopefully will hear back.  Just wondered how these things usually work?

    here's the link:

    oh.....me likey!!

During our planning my hubs kept asking if I was going to wear one of those silly jackets.  I had no idea what he was talking about until finally he found one online to show me....it was a balero.  I love them...but he disliked them so much I never considered getting one. :(

Thanks!! And yes, a tail! hehe I'll be randomly laughing out loud at that one for the next day or so.   And I have a feeling my FI would think it was one of those "weird jackets" too....  but dang!!  he likes my hair down, i like it up....  he likes a regular veil and I like birdcage.  He hasn't told me he wants me to do these things, I've just shown him a bunch of stuff and gotten comments..... but i can't figure out how much of what i look like on that day should be what i like and how much what he likes.  I mean I know it's totally up to me, but I don't want to come down the aisle in some kind of getup that would make him laugh. LOL

so the question becomes do you get a long tail? a nub? a docked tail? a flippy tail? a fluffy tail? LOL

I think it's a mixture of a bit of both.  I picked out the dress I loved (which in the end he did as well b/c he said "it looks like my girl's dress" but didn't get a balero (which given it was HOT that day I'm not sure I would have worn it for long had I gotten one). I wore a veil regular veil for the ceremony b/c my mom really wanted to see me in one and then switched it out for a simple muscari flower the rest of the day/evening.  I wore my hair up b/c I liked it that way and it was cooler...and when I look back at our photos I'm really happy with how I looked (and that doesn't happen often).  Long story short...you'll find your happy medium and you'll both think you look beautiful!

thanks ggsb!  Yeah, mom....that's another one!  She really wants me in a regular veil and is not a birdcage fan... and she must be really serious about that, because she usually never has an opinion on anything like that!  ahhhh i'm sure it will all work out!

yeah my mom locked in on two things... the veil and having a guest book.  She seriously had no other opinions on anything else wedding related.  I told her I was wearing a blue dress just to see how she'd react....she was fine with that....as long as I wore a veil! haha

honeybun - I wore that bolero for my reception and got a zillion compliments on it.  It was well worth the purchase and the esty seller was extremely easy to deal with.  Good luck!

haha.. my friend's husband asked me before their wedding if i was going to carry her tail around all day (i was MOH). it took a few seconds for my friend and i to clue in that he meant the train of her dress lol

it became the running joke of the wedding day and yes, i did carry the tail around for pre-reception photos!

@Bennie    LOL!!!  I'm not the only one who has had to interpret what "the tail" is   hehe    Well I think I will definitely have to call it that from now on, esp. when I'm wearing the dress!   too cute   Wink

That's so funny!  I had a coworker refer to a train on a dress as a "trail."  hehehe, cracks me up.
